“Don’t lie–you have to remember it! The single best thing about honesty is that it requires no follow-up. Every lie is something you’re responsible for as long as you want to keep it going, and few of them merit that mental storage space.”
– Rachel Maddow tells O magazine about her favorite piece of advice. Let’s just say I’m not lying when I say I’ve got a raging crush on Rachel Maddow (who has a new book out today, by the way). Love. Her.
So, Nickelodean star Victoria Justice did something really awesome with her outfit here. Rather than going with a basic jacket and jeans combo, Justice picked an accent blazer and paired it with a basic shirt and jeans. I love this colorful striped blazer and think it’s a great spring piece. Would you wear something like this?
Lily Collins is the star of the new fairy tale-inspired movie “Mirror Mirror.” She’s also the daughter of adult-contempo singer Phil Collins, but thankfully didn’t get his looks. Instead, she’s got a total Audrey Hepburn vibe, working the red carpet in a variety of gorgeous designer looks. Lily seems to love Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel — and exudes a more classic vibe then some of her young contemporaries (ahem, Miley Cyrus). Check out some of our favorite Lily Collins’ red carpet moments after the jump!
Like most “Mad Men” fans, I was not sure about Don Draper boning, then abruptly marrying, his new secretary, Megan. I wasn’t surprised he got under Megan’s skirt so quickly, of course. But given Don record of getting the golden ticket and then discarding women, I puzzled over why he saw Megan as a keeper.
Sunday night’s episode let us see that it’s not just Megan’s beauty drawing Don in. She’s sweet with his kids. She knows how to manipulate him in his pissy moments. They seem to share a slightly sadomasochistic sex drive. She’s upbeat and positive and unlike his ex-wife Betty, she’s a career girl. (Well, a budding one, anyway.) It’s easy to see how Megan makes him feel young again. Call us officially “Team Megan.”
It seems like Megan will be sticking around — at least for awhile, Don is still Don after all — so let’s take a closer look at Jessica Paré, the 29-year-old (ukelele-playing!) French-Canadian actress who plays her onscreen. Keep reading »
I’ve been a fan of Stevie Ryan’s ever since I randomly caught a clip of her hilarious YouTube series “Scene Kid Love” a few years ago. So I was stoked to find out that she’d been picked up by VH1 for her own TV show. “Stevie TV” is Stevie’s chance to show off her wealth of ridiculous characters and impressions — including Kim Kardashian, Linsay Lohan and Drita from “Mob Wives.” In this clip from Sunday night’s show, Stevie plays one of the sullen, disaffected stars of hipster soap opera “As The World Whatevers,” which takes place in a Dov Charney/American Apparel-type nightmare. The key utterance? “I feel like every day I have to choose between my dignity and my non-paying modeling hobby.” So true.
