Every time someone has something mean to say about Rachael Ray, I am all ears. I can’t stand her “delish"s or “yum-o"s and the only time I made it through a whole episode of her cooking show, she made a hamburger salad followed by a pizza salad and I wanted to claw my child-of-a-chef eyes out in terror. So, when my hero, Martha Stewart, said that Rachael’s approach to cooking was “not good enough for me,” I immediately Twitter agreed with her. Martha went on to say, “I mean, I really want to write a book that is unique and a lasting thing, something that will really fulfill a need in someone’s library. So, she’s different. She’s more of an entertainer, with her bubbly personality, than she is a teacher, like me.” [NY Daily News]
I agree, Martha. But it’s always can sound a little sour grapes when someone disses their younger rival. Here are some celebs who’ve critiqued their successors in not gentle ways.

“I mean, someone with a figure like Jennifer Aniston has a trainer, a cook spinning out some version of the latest diet, and probably a stop at the tanning salon. Then teenage girls go, ‘God, I wish I could look like that.’ Maybe they wouldn’t if they knew what it took.’”

“I always resist falling in love. My problem is, I lose interest. Every time I’ve fallen in love, it’s just momentary. Honestly, I’ve hated every boyfriend I’ve had. I don’t want to have a boyfriend unless I want to be with him forever. If I don’t see an end, that’s nice. Because I always see an end.”

“NBC is sadly the fourth-place network; actually, we’re in ninth place if you count the radio stations ahead of us right now. I really believe that if everyone in this room would watch NBC for one night then that would be a 40 percent [ratings] increase ... They made a porn movie about Sarah Palin and the same actress, Lisa Ann, played me in the porn version of ‘30 Rock.’ Weirdly, of the three of us, Lisa Ann knows the most about foreign policy.”

“He has to be good in bed and the size matters. You know what I mean? The inner beauty counts as well, but without a toy it doesn’t make it fun. Right now I don’t want to have a serious relationship, I want to have fun. I love flirting at the moment. I’m single and I’m enjoying my freedom. But I don´t give my phone number out that often. But if I’m dating, I check the boy from the top to the bottom.”

Jude Law is an accomplished actor, infamous cheater, impregnator of some random model in Florida, and now, a fruit thrower. Law has been performing onstage in “Hamlet” in New York City recently and he rented an apartment in downtown Manhattan. It just so happens his swank bachelor pad is right next to an NYU freshman dormitory, Hayden Hall, with a balcony in full view of the students. An incredible crib like this probably rents for close to $10,000 a month (no, I’m not kidding), which would explain why Law got pissy when freshmen called out to him from their bedroom windows.

You may have seen photos recently of
Suri Cruise running around in a pair of little high heels. She's ... 3. At first, I thought it was a Halloween thing, but she's been traipsing all over the place in them. I won't lie. They are
cute. But having worn high heels for years, I know the toll they take on your feet, and I can't help but wonder about the consequences of wearing heels when your age is still in the single digits. (Remember those
high heels for babies? Sure, Suri's heels are low, but she's having a
hard time walking in them, clearly.
Should little girls wear high heels?

By now you’ve probably heard the news that Oprah Winfrey, queen of daytime television, will be quitting her talk show after its 25th season on September 9, 2011. Friends and fans have started reacting to Oprah’s news, including fellow daytime talk show host and co-covergirl on this month’s O magazine, Ellen DeGeneres who had this to say to her studio audience yesterday:
“Hey listen, I’m going to tell you some news you’re going to hear as soon as you go out into the world, when you leave here. Right before I came out here, I got a call from Oprah and she told me that she is announcing that next year will be her last year. It will be her 25th year, and she feels like it’s time for her to stop. I don’t think I could be here without her. I think she has blazed a trail ... She is an amazing woman. She will always be the Queen of Daytime Television, and she also said she is leaving me all of her money. I was like, thanks Oprah, thank you.”
Don’t worry, Ellen — you may not be getting all of Oprah’s money, but the departure of your biggest competitor sure can’t hurt your pocketbook. [via People.com]

“A lot of female-to-male transgender people end up doing a stint in the lesbian community because it just kind of makes sense,” he says. “At 13, 14, I was real clear at that point that I was attracted to women. So I was like, ‘I’m attracted to women, I am a woman, I guess I’m a lesbian.’ ... Who you’re attracted to has nothing to do with gender identity. A lot of people find that really confusing, but they’re two completely different things. One is how you view yourself and how you feel, and the other one is who you’re attracted to.”
