When we heard the very sad news that Amy Winehouse had been found dead in her apartment on Saturday, we were a little curious how Blake Fielder-Civil—Winehouse’s ex-husband who she had called the love of her life—would respond. Apparently, he has been in jail since June, serving two years for stealing to get money to buy drugs. Now, Fielder-Civil is on suicide watch at Leeds’ Armley Jail. The incarcerated drug addict reportedly collapsed sobbing when he was informed by prison guards that Winehouse had died. He told the UK’s The Sun newspaper, “I’m beyond inconsolable … my tears won’t dry.” He continued, “I will never ever again feel the love I felt for her. Everybody who knew me and knew Amy knew the depth of our love. I can’t believe she’s dead.”
The ill-fated couple was only married for two years but were involved for much longer; one of their early breakups inspired her album Back To Black. So, who is this man, Blake Fielder-Civil, whom Amy Winehouse called the love of her life? Keep reading »
Actress/country singer Courtney Stodden, 16, and Doug Hutchinson of “Lost,” 51, can’t stop talking about how in love they are. After stopping by “Good Morning America” last week, they sat down for an interview with E! Online. Many things will strike you as odd about this clip, aside from Courtney’s strange mugging with gritted teeth, as if she were going to inhale her husband like a tube of GoGurt. For example, the two talk about their sex life. Doug explains, “Courtney was Christian and saving herself for marriage. I’ve got to say, if there’s only one caveat to the ocean between our age difference, I wished I was a virgin when we met.”
At which point, Courtney starts laughing hysterically. “It’s fine that he wasn’t! It’s all good!” she says. “He’s a tiger!” Keep reading »
Shannen Doherty doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to marriage. After saying “I do” to Ashley Hamilton, their marriage lasted a meager five months. Her marriage to Rick Salomon didn’t last much longer—nine months—and busted when his sex tape with Paris Hilton hit the internet. But Shannen is still hopeful about the idea of getting hitched. Last year, she said, “I believe in marriage as a whole because my parents were married for 43 years, so I have the best example in the world of what marriage can be. … You just have to be 100 percent sure. You have to go in with your eyes wide open.” So I am wishing her far better luck with her current fiance, photographer Kurt Iswarienko, who she plans to marry in the fall.
But I’m a little worried. Why? Because Shannen will be televising her nuptials. And we know how that usually turns out. Keep reading »
“She interpreted for me as we went around China. Who wouldn’t fall in love with a beautiful woman like her? I fell in love with her asked her and she said ‘no.’ It took me a long time to persuade her. She is very tough, very tough. A successful man needs a critical wife. It brings him down to earth … She has taught our two little girls to speak perfect Mandarin. Everybody at home speaks Mandarin except me. So they only tell me what they think I need to know … She is a wonderful mother who has given me two beautiful daughters and she’s a very good business woman.”
—Rupert Murdoch talks to the Chinese television show “Dialogue,” about his wife Wendi Deng, who has become an internet sensation this week after getting a hit in on a guy who attempted to cream her hubby in the face with a pie while he testified to Parliament about the News of the World scandal. Rupert and Wendi just happened to do this first joint interview a few weeks ago, and in it they come off like an odd couple in love. I also thinks it’s really cool that Rupert appreciates the qualities that so many guys would dismiss as ‘bitchy.’ [Telegraph] Keep reading »
Hank Baskett and Kendra Wilkinson shared an intimate moment on the beach. It’s the kind that we wish we hadn’t been privy to, but now that we’ve seen it, we can’t help but wonder what he’s planning to do with that pinky. [Hollywood Tuna] Keep reading »
Amber Rose got a new tattoo last week. On the side of her finger, she had the word “Cam” inked in cursive. What does that mean? Well, for the past year, she has been dating rapper Wiz Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz. Apparently, Amber calls him “Cam” for short, while he calls her “Amb.” Amber’s new tattoo will match the one Wiz got tattooed on the side of his thumb earlier this year.
Now, I’m a little skeptical of getting someone’s name or initials tattooed on you. Keep reading »
“He’s manly romantic. Two years ago he took me up on his P-51 Mustang, a fighter plane from World War II. He painted the words, ‘Kiss Me, Kate’ on the side. It feels like you’re on a bike in the sky. I thought, I’m either going to spend this whole flight totally freaked out or realize this is pretty thrilling.”
—Katie Holmes dishes in the new issue of InStyle about how she and hubby Tom Cruise keep the romance alive. How very “Top Gun” of them. [People] Keep reading »
Look, Paris has sunk her talons into another dude somehow. An apparent U.S. resident, who, unless he’s deaf, blind, and dumb, probably knows of her history in this country and all of the male destruction she’s left behind her in a slimy trail of herpe discharge.
And the guy is no nobody, either – if you don’t recognize him (and let’s be real, I didn’t), it’s Todd Phillips, who was the director of “The Hangover.” And actually? This is a step up from her last boyfriend, Cy Waits, who was some kind of weird casino kingpin straight out of “Back to the Future Part II.” Read more… Keep reading »
Alt-country rocker Ryan Adams and reformed teen star Mandy Moore are one of my favorite celebrity couples. Mostly because they stay under the radar and only emerge to say sweet things about each other. I was excited a few months ago when I heard that they had performed a few songs together. Now it appears that they have recorded one of them, “Empty Room,” which is available on 7-inch records they’re selling on tour. Take a listen after the jump. Keep reading »
