The Good, The Bad & The WTF: More From The Cannes Red Carpet

The Cannes Film Festival is where celebs are supposed to bring their A game. Not their A- game, but their A+ game. That’s because they’re not simply on the red carpet at some crappy Hollywood premiere — they’re on the world’s snotty stage! In France! France! And they’re competing against French and Italian starlets in the glamour game, too. As such, these girls have some really intense gown-age in tow — with everything from lacy cut outs, to feathers, to bright colors at their disposal. We survey the successes — and some of the Cannes chaff, after the jump.

Step Away From The Sink! The Best (And Worst) Of Dry Shampoos

Dry shampoo, while not exactly a new commodity (drugstore brand Psssssst! has been around for god knows how long; seriously, I Googled it and couldn’t find out), has received more hype than ever in the past few years. I ascribe the uptick in use (and, consequently, offerings) to the fact that less women are washing their hair every day than they did previously. We’re now more aware of how daily washing can affect factors like hair color (especially if you pay good money to get it done) and condition (both dry and oily hair types can benefit from washing less). I, for one, wash mine three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. I frankly hate to wash my hair because I hate to wait for it to dry, and I also hate to blow-dry it myself. I don’t know which I hate more, actually…

Anyway, on those days in between, I’m showering with a cap at night (come on, I’m not gross) and using dry shampoo in the morning. It usually only buys me a day (one dry shampoo day after another is not a good look), but that is one glorious day. I have super-fine, wispy hair and I find that dry shampoo actually makes it easier to style and work with whether it’s freshly-washed or second-day. Bottom line: I am a huge, huge proponent of dry shampoo, and I’ve tried so many that I consider myself somewhat of an authority (humor me, please) on the stuff. I’m also a terrible (really awful, seriously) snob, so if I like something, it’s probably pretty good. Behold, my roundup of the best dry shampoos and what makes them great — and at the end, if you’re curious, a quick summary of the ones that I would rather go greasy than use.

The Twisted World Of Celebrity Stalkers

According to TMZ, this past weekend at Corey Feldman’s house was a dog and pony show. His security guard was forced to make a citizen’s arrest of his stalker, who is also technically his roommate. Hold on, let us back up here. Jennifer Herbert is described as a 6-foot tall, 300 pound friend (well, former friend now) of Corey’s who he allowed to stay in his house and pay rent. Things went downhill shortly after Herbert moved in (as they tend to with friends/roommates). Feldman claims Herbert threatened to harm him, “trash-talked” him in front of his guests and asked his kid “adult questions.” Eek. We should also mention that Feldman and Herbert knew each other through mutual friend Michael Jackson. Anyhoo, Feldman allegedly had a restraining order against Herbert that required she stay at least six feet away from Feldman and his kid while in the house. An in-house restraining order? That’s genius. Putting all the pieces together … it would appear that Herbert violated her in-house restraining order, which led to the citizen’s arrest.

This stalking story makes our brains hurt. I’m sure we will hear more details soon. Corey is not the first famous person to have a crazy stalking incident. Our slideshow of celebrity stalkers will make you glad you aren’t famous. [TMZ]
