Drew Barrymore just got married for the third time — to art dealer Will Kopelman — and has a long dating history in Hollywood. But I was totally surprised to learn she once went on a date with Christian Bale (pre-”Dark Knight” and well-known rage issues). ”We went to see some bloody awful horror film, and that was the end of it,” Bale told GQ Australia. [Us Weekly]
I’m kind of bummed things didn’t go further with these two. Going out with Bale again could have been a real “Sliding Doors” moment for them both; would she have gone through her flower child/boob-flashing phase if she had fallen in love with him? Run around with Courtney Love? Would his career have taken a backseat to hers, like that of so many of her previous boyfriends? Maybe getting turned down by Drew is what set Bale on the path towards becoming Batman!
This got me thinking about other celeb couples that might have been. Here are nine other pairs that are rumored to have gone out once or twice, but never made it official. Let’s imagine what might have been if they had…
Golden showers, also known as urolagnia, urophilia or watersports, is a sexual fetish where one derives pleasure from the practice of peeing on another person. If you had never participated in or witnessed a golden shower before, that changed with the most recent episode of “Girls,” where Hannah’s boyfriend Adam pees on her in the shower. Granted, it’s done more as a joke than as an erotic gesture, but hey, it’s still a golden shower. Hannah didn’t find it funny or arousing though, she got pissed (pun intended) and immediately jumped out of the shower covered in pee.
Amelia has developed a theory that there are two kinds of people in the world: Team Get Mad At Getting Peed On In The Shower and Team Laugh Your Ass Off. I guess there’s also Team Get Turned On, but that wasn’t on the table in this particular scenario. Wherever you fall on the watersports spectrum, you’d better believe that “Girls” has made the golden shower the most talked about sex act. At least, for this week. We’ll see what they come up with next week. I pray to God we don’t have to see Adam in a diaper. Click through to see more important golden shower moments in recent pop culture history.
I love seeing pictures of celebs at the gym for two reasons: it’s a nice reminder that they spend a lot of time and energy maintaining those “perfect” bodies, and it’s fun to see the outfits they choose for their time on the treadmill. Click through to check out 12 gorgeous celeb ladies hitting the gym (spoiler alert: black leggings seem to be a Hollywood workout requirement)…
We figured you were getting sick of looking at our mugs everyday, so we hired a whole mess of interns to mix things up a bit! Just kidding; Shannen, Morgan, and now Daley are really interning here this summer to, like, learn and stuff, but they also happen to have dope personal style, which is a nice bonus. The Council of Fashion Designers of America, better known as the CFDA, holds an awards ceremony each year to celebrate achievement in fashion design — the Oscars of the fashion set, if you will. Emerging a winner is a victory akin to Diane von Furstenberg (she’s the president of the Council) giving you a little tap on the head and saying, “You’ve made it.” The nature of the ceremony is to honor fresh and emerging talent, and while last night’s event also crowned winners (Tommy Hilfiger and Rei Kawakubo, respectively) for both Lifetime and International achievements, some of the victors are practically unheard of outside of the insider-y design realm. If you have an interest in high fashion, it behooves you to acquaint yourself with these up-and-coming game changers, because chances are they’ll be the next hot names to come up on the mainstream style radar… well, I guess they already are.
