Art may be imitating life on the set of “Mad Men.” According to Star magazine, January Jones has an issue with Jessica Pare. “January is furious because she pretty much had no story line this season, not to mention that she had to wear a fat suit!” a source told Star. “Meanwhile, Jessica is an overnight sensation. … January is so completely jealous that she has been treating Jessica like complete crap.” If this is indeed true (and I have no trouble imagining it could be), it explains why they only had one scene together this season. No wonder it was so uncomfortable to watch — it was real. Well … maybe. [Celebitchy]
These two are hardly the first co-stars in history who couldn’t stand working together. Egos have been around forever. Click on to see more celebs who (allegedly) had major beef on set.
Another Monday, week. Click on to see what we’re wearing today!
Julia Stiles is back on the small screen, only instead of your TV screen, I’m talking about your computer — the actress is staring in a new show called “Blue” on the YouTube channel Wigs. Wigs has enlisted a bunch of fantastic actors to star in their series, which involve multiple mini-episodes that are all usually under 10 minutes. In “Blue,” Stiles plays a single mom who starts working nights as an escort in order to pay the bills, but is shocked to find out one of her first clients is a friend from childhood. Whoops! You can watch episodes 1-5now. [WIGS]
But before that, let’s look back on the other fabulously talented actresses who have played escorts or call girls — i.e. sex workers who play house calls — on film or TV.
If you enjoyed the clandestine sex scenes between Pete Campbell and Rory Gilmore, we mean Beth Dawes, on “Mad Men” this season, you’ll be pleased to know that these two may be carrying on off set as well. Allegedly, Vincent Kartheiser and Alexis Bledel were spotted canoodling on a flight from JFK to LAX yesterday. Although they haven’t let on about the relationship, if it is true, we think it’s kind of cute. As long as neither of them are involved with other people and she doesn’t do it in fur, why not? BUT and this comes with a big BUT, dating your TV co-star is a risky move. No matter how many times we warn them, TV show stars keep falling in love with each other—knowing full well that if it doesn’t work out that they’re stuck working with their ex for seasons to come. Here are a few television showmance casualties. We hope Vincent and Alexis don’t succumb to the same fate. [ONTD]
It’s my belief that every woman should have at least one pair of totally superfluous-just-for-fun-ridiculously-over-the-top shoes. And if they’ve got a crazy platform heel on them, even better. Crazy big shoes make you feel taller, and more able to conquer the world. And if you’re feeling kind of whatever about your outfit, putting on a pair of wild platforms can totally elevate your look from just okay to supermodel status. After the jump, 15 pairs of fun platform sandals to make you feel 10 feet tall.
