To my Frisky peeps, I’m Simcha. But did you know I have a nail art alter ego? Yep, you can also call me Miss Pop. For the past couple of years, I’ve been doing up my digits, my grandma’s nails, and literally anyone’s hands I could get ahold of. And now this polish obsession has spiraled into a profession. In fact, I was just backstage at New York Fashion Week painting nails. It was so funsies that I wanted to share with you some of my fave hawt new nail looks as modeled by The Frisky staff. Check ‘em out!
Looking for a hot piece? We’re talking, of course, about jewelry. (Not ass.) Try finding your next signature accessory with this crop of indie designers that have us crushing hard.
Ah! Paris Fashion Week! The best fashion week of them all, if you ask me. Where designers like Chloe, Julien David and Gareth Pugh convene to show off their latest collections and the fashion crowd still smokes ciggies and acts totally bored. We’ve assembled our favorite looks from the first round of Paris shows, and will be updating our survey throughout the week. So check back early, and often!
Happy Leap Day! Did you make any decisions that wouldn’t count tomorrow as a result of this once-every-four-years occasion? I did. I told the world about “smell butts.” Now, let’s never speak of it again.

We know it’s going to be little while before it’s officially spring, so why not channel the sunshine with these bright yellow dresses? We’ve picked 10 bright and cheery numbers guaranteed to lift your mood without breaking the bank.
One thing, we’ve discovered, that all of The Frisky ladies have in common is the fact that we played really bizarre games when we were children. I feel very strongly that you all need to know about these games. Click through to see if you can match the screwed up game with its player. Teaser: you will read about murder plots, ass sniffing, asphyxiation, sandwiches, makeup and more. Oh, and we would be thrilled if you shared your messed up childhood games with us too. Clearly, we’re in no position to judge.
The other day it occurred to me: some of my favorite literary heroines — beloved for their spunk, intelligence, and heart — also have really great and memorable hair. Here’s how to get their looks!
Oh, you know, just another 50 degree day in February. As Rachel put it, “What are seasons?” Also, it was unexpected Twin Day again, with Ami and I both wearing yellow, black, and cream, and Rachel and Winona both wearing red and black. It’s like we’re psychically connected or something.
Is it just me, or was the beauty for this year’s Oscars kind of a bore? The ladies looked lovely as always, but for the life of me I couldn’t pick out a makeup look that really wowed. Maybe it’s because some of the real stunners, the young actresses who can afford to dare to stand out from the pack, skipped the ceremony entirely and made their way over to the Vanity Fair party a few hours early instead. Basically every time Elizabeth Olsen, who’s quickly becoming my favorite Olsen, leaves the house and is photographed, I subsequently covet to death whatever makeup she’s wearing — she always looks fresh-faced and pretty, never overdone. Predictably the Vanity Fair fête was no exception, but it was her appearance the night before at the Independent Spirit Awards that really stuck with me: the rose gold eyeshadow she sported is well on its way to becoming a major trend. The girls in Glamour‘s beauty department were one step ahead of me in identifying the frequency with which the gorgeously gilded shade has been worn. Let me tell you, I’ll take anything rose gold without question, but I’m really in love with it when swiped on lids. Here are the products you can use to get this celeb-approved look.
Damn, that girl can keep a secret: Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied are married, the couple’s jeweler has confirmed to Us Weekly. The pair had tongues wagging at the Ocars on Sunday night when they were both spotted wearing rings. Now jeweler Jaime Wolf has confirmed the happy couple was wearing wedding bands made of recycled platinum and conflict-free diamonds. That’s very Natalie, isn’t it? (Her engagement ring was vegan, too!) Unfortunately, there’s no other deets on where, when or what she wore, because Nat’s rep and manager have declined to comment. We’re bummed to be kept in the dark, but impressed they were able to marry without anyone knowing! [Us Weekly]
Natalie Portman isn’t the only celeb who’s gotten hitched in secret. We’ve rounded up a slew of other hush-hush celebrity marriages to which we also weren’t invited.
