Animal rights activists are currently hating on Elle Macpherson because she admitted to using rhino horn powder as a beauty treatment. Talk about weird beauty products people eat (collagen coffee, anyone?), the supermodel engages in a rare practice of ingesting ground-up rhinoceros horn, which, she says, tastes like “crushed bone and fungus in a capsule.” Besides the ick factor, rhino powder is illegal because the animals are an endangered species and on the no-poach list. Macpherson’s admission is pretty careless considering she’s previously been engaged in animal rights causes and projects. So, what gives, Elle? [New York Daily News] Keep reading »

It’s good to know that celebs like Angelina Jolie have real hair challenges just like the rest of us — like fighting summertime frizz.

Last time I checked, having blue hair was a sure indication that you’ve passed the prime moments in your life and have officially hit old age. However, pop stars and designers are looking to change those preconceived notions, and now, with their approval, blue hair is all the rage. To round out the trend, Juliette Lewis appeared during a performance in London with a few blue highlights, perfectly matching her Ray-Bans. And, of course, our own Kate has been rocking a rad blue streak in her hair for years. So, what do you say — would you go blue? [Telegraph] Keep reading »
Thanks to “The Real Housewives of New York City,” everyone has become privy to Kelly Killoren Bensimon‘s workout habits, which include skimpy exercise gear, running in the middle of traffic, and just the perfect amount of elliptical-ing so that it looks like she’s working out, but her hair remains styled just so. Clearly, given Kelly’s toned abs and sculpted arms, this is a routine everyone should adopt. Some brilliant entrepreneur decided the world was lacking in yet another workout video, and figured that with Kelly’s Playboy-approved physique and exercise appreciation, she’d be the perfect candidate to serve as fitness trainer to the masses. Yesterday, she Tweeted the good news, saying, “Get ready for my workout video to come. Who likes squats and headstands?” But will Kelly be as bats**t crazy and unstable as she is on “Housewives” — can’t wait to find out! [Twitter] Keep reading »
