Reese Witherspoon chose to skip the “I went to Atlanta and all I got was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct” T-shirt and opted to commemorate her recent arrest with a slightly more subtle memento: an Atlanta Police Department hat. Reese made the fashion statement for her much-photographed arrival at LAX, alongside husband Jim “I had nothing to do with that” Toth. What do you think of Reese’s choice of headwear? Is it a cheeky way to reference an unavoidable topic? Or does it strike you as a little tacky? [Photo: Splash]

To cap off our Wanderlust content, what could be more fitting than a road trip playlist? Besides a car, gas money, and comfy pants, there’s really nothing more integral to a road trip’s success than a good selection of music. On our recent drive from Oregon to Tennessee, my boyfriend and I didn’t prepare nearly enough music, and we ran out of new tunes somewhere in eastern Wyoming. It was awful. I vowed to never let that happen again, so I polled The Frisky staff for their favorite road trip songs. Some of our selections specifically reference the road trip experience, but most of them are just awesome tunes that match the feeling you get when you see miles and miles of road stretched out in front of you. Check out our Spotify playlist after the jump, and feel free to download it before you hit the open road! Keep reading »

Style 911: Help Me Find The Perfect Plus-Size Maxi Dress!

“I would love some fashion advice. I’m on the smaller end of plus sized (14-16) and I want to get my first maxi dress. Although I am of average height I have always steered away from long dresses because I have felt like they made me look, for lack of better terms, stumpy and dumpy. I’m willing to take a style leap of faith though! My issue is I have no idea what type of maxi dress to look for. I need one that accommodates a combination of short legs, long torso, and large bust. Ideally it could transition from fairly casual office to going out after work. Any tips?” — Mad for Maxis

Dear Mad for Maxis,

It sounds like you and I have a really similar body shape, and I, too, have shied away from maxi dresses because my junior high PE teacher used to call me Stumpy and I’ve had no desire to resurrect that nickname in my adult life. But the fact is I have seen maxi dresses look truly fabulous (and flattering!) on women of all shapes and sizes, so there’s no reason for us to sit on the sidelines anymore. Let’s make this the summer of maxis! Keep reading »

Sex Doll Virginity
People are paying crazy amounts of money to deflower a sex doll. Read More »

It’s Wednesday night, your parents are out, and you’re alone in your big, empty suburban house. What do you? If you’re a 14-year-old boy in Prospect Heights, Illinois, you hire a prostitute online. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending how you look at it), the boy’s “Risky Business”-esque plan was foiled when the prostitute arrived and instead of deflowering him, sprayed him with pepper spray and stole his piggy bank. Yep, seriously. Police tracked down the prostitute at a nearby motel and charged her with armed robbery. It’s unclear if the boy will face consequences for trying to pay for sex, but I think it’s safe to say he won’t be reenacting any more Tom Cruise movies anytime soon. [Gawker]

Meet Wisconsin’s Most Extreme Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary garnishes used to be pretty basic: a celery stick, olives, maybe a cocktail shrimp or two. Then came bacon strips and mini cheeseburgers. And now, well, look at this bloody monster, served up by O’Davey’s Irish Pub in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. It’s topped with a slightly precarious looking tower of garnishes including popcorn, bacon, peanuts, beans, sausage, a soft pretzel, nachos, cheesburger sliders, a hot dog, pickles, crackers, cheese curd, and a Brewers flag. If this doesn’t cure your hangover (and give you a different kind of stomach ache), nothing will. [Neatorama]

“When a police officer tells you to stay in the car, you stay in the car. I think I’ve played a lawyer so many times in movies, I think I am a lawyer – and clearly I’m not a lawyer. So, I learned a lot.”

–Reese Witherspoon finally broke her silence about her arrest for disorderly conduct in a Thursday morning interview with “Good Morning America.” As we all know now, Reese went a little crazy on the Atlanta cop who was arresting her husband Jim Toth for DUI, launching into a “Do you know who I am?” rant. In the interview, Reese does seem genuinely apologetic and appropriately mortified about her behavior. “I saw him arresting my husband and I literally panicked,” she explains. “I said all kinds of crazy things. I told him I was pregnant. I’m not pregnant! I said crazy things.” Oh Reese, Elle Woods would have prepared much better arguments than that. [NY Daily News]

Oh My God I Love Your Hair: The Messy Chignon

Welcome to a new style feature, my friends. The title is pretty self-explanatory (OMG! I love your hair!), but basically, since I’m always on the lookout for hair inspiration, I thought it would be fun to give a weekly shoutout to some of the fabulous ‘dos from around the web. First up: this perfectly messy chignon style from Kate over at The Small Things Blog. I love styles that purposefully look a little undone because there’s no pressure to have a shiny, slicked back finished product–if you miss a few pieces or position the bun slightly off center, it just adds to the effect. Check out her video tutorial to get the look for yourself (in about five minutes, natch!).
