Between videos of tiny monkeys twirling umbrellas, pictures of baby pandas, and the recent headline that scientists have discovered “Hasselhoff Crabs” in Antarctica, it’s obvious that our world is full of weirdly awesome animals. How could we not yearn to keep some as inappropriate pets? Here is a roundup of the strange and adorable animals we would totally keep in our apartments if it wasn’t a terrible idea…

As a lifelong fan of black and blue, I was delighted to see “Downton Abbey”‘s Elizabeth McGovern rocking the combination at Sunday’sGolden Globes. If you’re one of the 24 million people who have purchased shoes from Zappos.com recently, this email might have popped up in your inbox over the weekend:

Dianna Agron’s breathtakingly intricate red lace dress was one of my favorite looks at the Golden Globes. Surprisingly, it was also one of the most wearable trends (as opposed to, say, Angelina Jolie’s skintight white satin gown, which makes me break out in cellulite just thinking about it) to show up on the red carpet last night.
Layer a stretchy red lace top under a blazer. Rock a red lace skirt on a date or pair with a black cardigan for work. Still seem too risque? Try the trend in smaller doses like a cheeky bow-tie necklace or pretty underthings. Check out some awesome (and affordable!) red lace pieces after the jump… Keep reading »
Model: Wooohoo I love rollerskating down the boardwalk in my boardwalk romper!
Me: That does look kind of fun.
Model: And it’s only $108! Everyone should get a boardwalk romper!

Model: What’s not to love? It’s jersey! It’s carefree! Keep reading »
This hilarious (and painfully accurate) video reimagines Photoshop as a beauty product that can erase acne, whiten teeth, make you skinny, and even change your race. Over a pulsing techno track, models pose and flip their hair while the narrator explains “Just one application of photoshop can give you results so dramatic they’re almost unrealistic.” Says creator Jesse Rosten: “I was watching TV one sleepless night and stumbled upon an infomercial for some beauty product. The commercial showed before and after portraits, that to my eye, looked like the same photo just photoshopped. I laughed to myself. Then I made this video.”
The tagline sums it up: “This commercial isn’t real, and neither are society’s standards of beauty.” Powerful stuff. [Fotoshop by Adobé]
