As soon as the weather turns even the slightest bit dreary, my fanatical soup obsession kicks in. My boyfriend can barely finish the phrase “What should we have for dinner” before I’m yelling, “Soup! Soup! Soup!” From creamy tomato to coconut red lentil to spicy chicken tortilla, I love simmering a pot of soup on the stove on chilly fall evenings. Looking for a little soup inspiration? Looking to bring some of those gorgeous fall colors into your home? I’m loving these DIY candleholders the crafty mavens over at Martha Stewart came up with. The best part? This project couldn’t be easier: simply collect a sampling of colorful fall leaves and affix to a clear candle holder using spray adhesive. Add a candle with a cozy fall scent (I can’t get enough of this Oregon fir candle from Alchemy) and you’ll be basking in awesome autumn vibes in no time. [Martha Stewart]
One night during our weekend in Nashville, my boyfriend Nick and I staggered back to our hotel in the rain after eating a huge meal. We immediately collapsed on the bed, and Nick reached for the remote. Nick has a habit of watching the most random TV shows whenever we’re staying in a hotel, and this time he didn’t disappoint: he flipped through the channels and finally settled on a half-over rerun of “The Good Wife.” “Nick, come on!” I objected, “We’ve never even seen a full episode of this show!” But by the time I had finished my sentence I’d been sucked into the legal drama, and 20 minutes later we were like, “Cool! Let’s watch this all the time!”

Halloween parties are a special breed of social gathering. Everyone’s wearing costumes, which makes the whole thing much more exciting (and confusing), plus there’s usually copious amounts of spiked punch to be consumed, “Monster Mash” dancing to do, and cheesy pickup lines to be attempted. Overall, it’s one of the most unpredictable nights of the year. One thing you can always count on, though, is that you’ll meet these nine people on the Halloween party circuit… Keep reading »
I’m not 100 percent sure what’s going on with Brandy’s jeans. They’re either a puffy crotch style that hasn’t exactly gone mainstream yet, or they’re equipped with a secret marsupial pouch that she’s using to store her wallet and a few granola bars. If it’s the latter, I must applaud her efficiency, but when you pair crazy pants with a crazy leopard print top and crazy-high Louboutin boots, the whole look is just a bit, well, crazy.
