We know expectant mothers are proud of their little packages, but is donning a sheer top just TMI?
First Charlotte Gainsbourg wore a black see-through blouse over her baby bump in Cannes, and now January Jones has been spotted rocking the same look while walking her dog with a friend in L.A. Are sheer tops a new trend for mothers-to-be?
We think the “Mad Men” star looks kinda cool in hers. It’s an improvement over Charlotte’s attempt, so we’re excited to see how far this motherhood fad can go. And while we’ve never been pregnant ourselves, we can only imagine that it gets pretty hot carrying around the extra poundage. Sheer fabric probably gives mom a cool breeze, no? Most modern women are familiar with that gut-sinking moment when one looks in the mirror and realizes the cold, hard truth: It’s going to be a bad hair day.

Kristin Chenoweth recently proclaimed her love for GapKids to People Magazine. “I can wear a size 12/14,” the diminutive actress revealed.
Even if you are not as pint-sized as the Broadway star (88 pounds) you might be able to slip into some of the merchandise in the juniors department. Besides, there’s no shame in donning preteen fashion. These days it’s as stylish as designer duds and it’s easier on the wallet.
Some of our most sartorially savvy friends snatched up the Balmain-esque military jackets in Stella McCartney’s GapKids collection in 2009. And we’re now eagerly awaiting the chain’s upcoming childrenswear collaboration with Diane von Furstenberg — and we don’t have kids. Read more… Keep reading »
CoverGirl is facing criticism for its LashBlast Volume Mascara ad starring “America’s Next Top Model” winner Nicole Fox who wears false eyelashes when the campaign promises “true volume.”
The beauty brand’s print ad features two split images of the 20-year-old Colorado native — one with long, lust-worthy lashes and the other with clumpy and short lashes — and a close-up shot of the mascara bottle and wand with the text:
“If your mascara promises volume but delivers clumps – that’s false! True volume comes from our big brush, not from big clumps. Try LastBlast Volume for yourself. You may never go “false” again.’” Keep reading »

In fact, according to a study published in the Archives of Dermatology, sunscreen users only apply 50 percent of the recommended amount so they are only receiving 50 percent of the SPF protection. An average adult in a bathing suit requires one ounce (equivalent to two tablespoons or shot glass full) of sunscreen to cover the entire body. For small children, one tablespoon should be used on the entire body. Read more… Keep reading »
You may tote a boa handbag or strut around in python pumps, but now your nails can get in on the reptile action. Nail artist Terri Silacci has created a gel manicure using snakeskin.
The Monterey, California-based manicurist tells the “Today” show that these scaly digits were inspired by snakeskin her son brought home from his science class.
“One snake’s trash is a toenail’s treasure,” says Silacci. “I find that the initial reaction from people is, that’s weird, that’s disgusting. And then they say, ‘I want it. And I want it right away.’” Keep reading »
Over 35? Boy, do we have some news for you.
A recent survey out of Britain revealed that no one wants to see you in a miniskirt. Period.
More than 2,000 women took the poll, which administered by Diet Chef, some sort of self esteem-boosting prepared-meals site. The findings show that age 47 is the cutoff for wearing a bikini, 61 for swimsuits altogether, and at 51, you can skip both the stilettos and the ponytails. Read more… Keep reading »
