Oxford Coeds Help Everyone Study Hard With Naked Calendar

Talk about Grade-A ass, Oxford students posed nude for a charity calendar benefiting TravelAid, an organization that works to eradicate third-world hunger. The $15 calendar features coeds on the grounds of the venerable institution, studying in the library, rowing, and playing the cello—sans clothing.

Though some alumni were peeved by the bawdiness of the project, administrators consented to the series of photo shoots of their best and brightest students in the buff because it was for charity. And the students themselves had loads of fun shooting it. “Given the opportunity I’d gladly get my kit off again in the university to raise money for a worthy cause — it’s liberating,” said one birthday-suit lovin’ babe. You have to admit, this has to be a change from their everyday scholarly days. We say, if you got it, flaunt it… especially for a worthwhile cause. [Daily Mail]

Driven Away: Cross-Dressing Cabbie Fired For Looking Too Good

Andre (formerly Andrew) Edwards, a fledgling transexual, was ecstatic when she was hired as a cab driver at Leyland taxi in Northern England. “When I went for the job I explained about the gender issues and they said, ‘As long as you can drive, we don’t care.’ It was a real boost for me because last year I wouldn’t have dreamt of wearing bright nail polish or anything like that.”

But it was those eye-catching nails and short skirts that may have cost Edwards her job—she was recently let go by her employers. Edwards boss claimed she was canned because of her attitude and not her attire. Apparently, co-workers complained Andre was a biotch who criticized their weight and supposedly called a staffer’s haircut “dreadful”.

Well we think the peeps were just jealous of Edwards and couldn’t handle her hotness. If its any consolation to Andre, her meds are totally working because making fun of co-workers awful style is very diva thing to do. Kate Gosselin’s been on nine magazine covers in the last month alone, her show premiere had almost 10 million viewers, and her long-in-front-party-in-the-back hair style is the hottest ‘do since Jennifer Aniston’s “Rachel.” And now, Ms. Thing is continuing her world domination by out-diva-ing major diva Jennifer Lopez. According to reports J. Lo was in talks with TLC to have her own reality show but didn’t want to have her children on air, and instead wanted to focus on the behind-the-scenes workings of launching her latest perfume. Yeah, apparently TLC thought that was kinda lame, too. So when “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ killed it in the ratings on Monday, the TLC peeps shelved the J. Lo show entirely. Brutal. Keep reading »

Playboy Goes High Fashion

If the June issue of Playboy looks a little more “Boogie Nights”-retro than babes-bare-all, it’s because famed fashion photog Terry Richardson shot the cover that features actress America Olivo. (No, we haven’t heard of her either.) In any case, while this might seem like a raunchy side job for someone whose work has appeared in French Vogue and Harpers Bazaar, Richardson’s favorite subject is nudes. His iconic soft-core photo style (think American Apparel ads) has garnered him huge fans. He’s photographed everyone from Barack Obama to Kate Moss.

He also has his fair share of detractors who have labeled him amateurish and misogynistic. Whether you like his style or not, his work is provocative. In fact, if you fancy your own Playboy-like photos, Terry is casting nude models via his website. Good luck! Keep reading »

Couple Holds Wacky Willy Wonka-Style Wedding

Fans of Candy Land rejoice! This weekend the featured wedding in the New York Times might be one of the quirkiest we’ve seen yet. Held in Dylan’s Candy Bar, Michelle Rosen and David Zornitsky had a candy-themed ceremony as a nod to how the couple met—over a package of Gummi Bears. To show how sweet they are on each other, the space was tricked out to resemble a Disneyland ride — with a lollipop-tree lined aisle, a canopy of Whirly Pops, and a bouquet of cupcakes. The bride wore a dress from “Project Runway” created from Hershey’s and Kit Kat wrappers. Guests noshed on candy sushi, and the first dance was to “Sugar, Sugar.” We think we just got a toothache.
