What would it take for Joaquin Phoenix to come out of retirement?
Despite speculation earlier this year that Phoenix would resume his once-hot acting career with a film adaptation of ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ (the 2010 novel by Seth Grahame-Smith), the actor is now being linked to a much more controversial project.
And if there’s one thing Phoenix seems to relish, it’s controversy!
Phoenix — whose last film was the outrageous, head-scratching mockumentary ‘I’m Still Here’ — is now rumored to be reversing his retirement plans to co-star in Paul Thomas Anderson’s much-anticipated movie taking aim at Scientology. Read more… Keep reading »
Fergie hopes you know that this has nothing to do with you. It’s personal — she’s got some figuring out to do.
Although only last year, the singer-actress said of her family life, “You can be a mother and still be completely sexy … [but] right now, I don’t want anything clouding my focus,” it seems she may have changed her tune.
The Dutchess recently announced that she’ll be taking some time off from her career as a solo hit-maker to get in touch with her domestic side — and hubby Josh Duhamel. Read more… Keep reading »
At first glance the similarities between Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen seem to trump their differences. Both were wildly successful in their own rights — she in teen flicks, he in sitcoms. Both have addiction and relationship dramas, both have daddy issues and both screw up. A lot.
But while Sheen seems to be encased in kryptonic armor protecting him and his bank account from all of his misdeeds, Lohan can’t even keep a movie gig, and no one wants to pay her to do much of anything, even sell tights.
What gives? Is it a male/female thing? The age difference? I don’t think so. Sheen has simply made better personal branding choices. He gives America the product they want. Read more… Keep reading »
A volunteer fire truck slammed into singer Jewel’s car in Stephenville, Texas, on Friday, sending the folk-turned-country star, who is pregnant, to the hospital for tests.
“Jewel was hit by a fire truck this morning in Texas,” her rep said in a statement. “The singer was taken to the hospital and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby are doing fine.”
A local newspaper, The Stephenville Empire-Tribune, ran photos showing Jewel’s completely totaled car, with the bulk of the damage appearing to be in the front and passengers’ side. It’s not clear whether she was driving or in the passenger seat. Read more… Keep reading »
It’s the week that Charlie Sheen came unhinged. Since production on his uber-popular sitcom “Two and a Half Men” was derailed over fallout from his latest bender, the star has been on a frenzied media blitz — apparently to promote the drug he says he’s on, “Charlie Sheen.”
The feverish interviews have teetered between neurotic and delusional. His self-described “grandiose” behavior has led some to speculate that the 45-year-old actor may have bipolar disorder.
“He looks bipolar — he’s in a particularly manic phase,” celebrity psychology expert Stuart Fischoff tells PopEater. “His reality testing has been severely impaired, marked by delusions of grandeur. His head now is as large as the moon.” Read more… Keep reading »
Hot off the heels of her breakup with Matt Kemp, it looks like someone new is making Rihanna feel like she’s the only girl in the world.
According to Us Weekly, the “S&M” singer has been getting cozy with actor Ryan Phillippe, but is trying to keep things quiet for now.
Phillippe, who most recently dated Amanda Seyfried, has been dogged by breakup rumors recently, which Seyfried has adamantly denied, saying, “That Rihanna story is not true. That is so f**king not true!” Read more… Keep reading »
