Zergnet: Simply Irresistible
Profile for Lily Q
It may only be July, but our heads are already reeling with images of the fall clothes to come. While certain trends — like massive fur collars — will have to wait a while to actually be worn, we’re down with planning ahead. Plus, a handful of our top ten can be integrated into our wardrobes in little more than a month. One such obsession is the winter florals that were all over the fall 2010 runways. Proenza Schouler (above) did them best, we think.
For quite some time, Tavi’s reign as Queen Of The Mini Bloggers went largely unchallenged. Now, however, she’s got fierce competition in the form of Madonna progeny Lourdes, who’s taken to the net like a fish to water. So now, obviously, it’s time for a round of Teen Blogger Face-Off. May the best pint-sized soon-to-be fashion icon win! Keep reading »
My office is pretty casual, but I still feel like I probably can’t show up in denim cutoffs. Any ideas for making jean shorts more presentable? – Amy
We all struggle through the difficulty of looking halfway decent in the summer without being totally ravaged by the heat. Luckily, there are a few ways to make shorts work. Click through for ideas. Keep reading »
Nothing ruins a night out dancing like having to carry a big bag or an awkward clutch — you’re trying to grind all up in some hot dude’s business and your shoulder bag is smacking him in the gut in a decidedly un-sexy way. Put an end to that situation with a compact cross-body bag that’ll stay put while you shake it. We’re particularly into Madewell’s cute little incarnation of a dancing bag. Everything from the cool color to the badass hardware has us craving it pretty hard.
It’s been a long time coming, but Marc Jacobs has finally decided to get in on the e-commerce game. In September, MarcJacobs.com will become an e-retailer, giving us one more stop on our daily fashion lust tour. Even more exciting? There have been hints that the new website will also sell items that aren’t available anywhere else. So yay, more awesome things we can’t really afford! [Elle UK] Keep reading »
One of these days we’re going to wise up and give up on the whole braless bra concept. But apparently that day hasn’t arrived yet, because we got super excited when Bare Lifts came in the mail. The adhesives promised to be an “Instant Breast Lift” and we trusted them. In fact, we trusted them so much that we stuck them onto our bare chesticles in an overly optimistic attempt to eliminate the need for real bras. Oh silly us. Unsurprisingly, stickers still don’t make good bras. Keep reading »
Designer Jeremy Scott — he of the world’s most ridiculous sunglasses — is following in James Franco’s legendary footsteps by guesting on a soap opera. On today’s episode of “The Young and the Restless,” Scott and his ever-interesting coif is decked out in a wildly embellished matador jacket and bitchy scowl. He’s playing a designer on the show, so it’s not like he’ll have to try too hard to get into character, meaning the performance may not be horrifying. In any event, we’re excited. I received an email from Domenico Vacca this morning about, I kid you not, a $48,000 alligator garment bag. As in the thing you carry cocktail dresses and suits in to protect them from the elements and wrinkles. As in the bag that most of us get for free from the dry cleaner or when buying the aforementioned cocktail dress. But why would you use a free garment bag when you could spend as much as a mid-priced car on a heavier, more delicate version made from several alligators? Are you kidding me? I just vomited.
