Every television show needs to have that filler episode that addresses the obvious issues that are going to come up, particularly in the case of “Gossip Girl” — Where can they all go to college in order to continue the show? Just like “Beverly Hills, 90210″ and “Dawson’s Creek”, we’re sure creator Josh Schwartz is already worried about how to move his show about high school to the next natural step — college. However, last night’s episode of “Gossip Girl” was highly unrealistic and missing that certain je ne sais quoi that gets me all revved up for Monday nights. Keep reading »

Jessica Alba and Hayden Panettiere Voting PSA
Celebrities have hopped on the bandwagon this year in encouraging young adults to go vote. The “Declare Yourself” campaign has just launched its latest attention grabbing PSA, with Jessica Alba and Hayden Panettiere wearing muzzles.
I have to give them props for an interesting approach that definitely got people’s attention, however, I found Alba to be so annoying that I can’t even watch it more than once. The PSA is structured as an infomercial with Jessica selling muzzles, Hayden Panettiere sporting one, and Tristan Wilds talking about how he bought one. Jessica turns her voice into that of an annoying announcer and you will want to slap her halfway through.
While I understand the whole message of not “silencing yourself” I think it is a little extreme and over-the-top. I’m sure there are some people who probably don’t even get it at first. An ad like this isn’t going to make me vote. Seeing a celebrity in a stupid commercial isn’t going to persuade me. It’s seeing the candidates and feeling motivated about issues that I really care about.

Manhattan’s hottest and most scandal ridden family, “The Darlings”, came back into our lives last night with the season two premiere of “Dirty Sexy Money.” And if last night’s episode was any indication of the drama yet to come, we are surely in for a tantalizing ride.
Opening the episode was family lawyer Nick George (and last week’s Daily Hotness) on his way to his not-such-a-surprise birthday party thrown by the Darlings. The song “Under Pressure” by Queen is playing in the background to signify that Nick is feeling some sort of heat. What else is new? About 10 minutes into his party, after several rounds of awkwardness, the NYPD shows up via helicopters and ground force. The episode now goes to 48 hours earlier. Keep reading »
In honor of
tonight’s next week’s return of “Dirty Sexy Money”, I present to you Peter Krause: the sexy leading man who plays lawyer, Nick George, for the uber-rich, New York-based Darling family. Before this series, Krause was a staple on “Six Feet Under” as Nate Fisher and he’s done a bunch of other TV spots on famous ’90s shows like “Spin City” and “Party of Five.” But did you know that before majoring in English Literature in college he was pre-med? Sexy and smart…I likey. Check out other primetime hotties here. Keep reading »
Josh Schwartz is certainly turning up the heat. The media has been buzzing about the first three episodes of this season’s “Gossip Girl” as the best, but episode four had my best friend and I squealing from shock and awe.
First things first, OMFG Lord Marcus is banging his step mom Lady Catherine? Ew. Seriously, my jaw hit the coffee table — an awesome twist that I never saw coming. And Vanessa, you sly little bitch, intending to catch Nate and Catherine doing the dirty-dirty, but catching that shocker instead…good thing you thought to snap that photo. Keep reading »
We love bracelets with quotes or with words that send positive messages. The full version of this quote is featured in the movie “Unfaithful” and happens to be one of our favorites. “It is the season for wine, roses, and drunken friends. Be happy for this moment…this moment is your life.” Happy Autumn! [$20, ShopIntuition.com] Keep reading »
Starring Kate Hudson, Dane Cook, Jason Biggs, Alec Baldwin
While the film “My Best Friend’s Girl” could be easily classified as a typical rom-com judging by the misleading commercials and cheesy poster, its filth factor actually pushes it into the “gross humor” category. And that is what made me love it even more. I cracked up the whole time, but I will forewarn you — Dane Cook haters should not pay the $11 bucks to see this film.
Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell is penning two teen novels about Carrie Bradshaw’s adolescence. As a “Sex and the City” fanatic and Carrie-phile, I’m know I’m excited. I’m a 22-year-old who watched SATC as a teen, and I can tell you adults really underestimate the sexual knowledge of teenagers. But is this prequel idea too much of a good thing? Some think the movie went too far already. Has Carrie jumped the shark? Bushnell’s backtracking to the girls’ adolescent years could lead to SATC overload. For now, I’m torn, but either way I’m willing to bet I’ll be looking for the The Carrie Diaries in 2010, when I’ll be a 25-year-old reading a book about teens. Keep reading »
