I have quite a few problems with the upcoming movie “The DUFF.” I’m not usually much of a film critic — so long as I’m entertained, I’m usually happy. Movies are interpreted differently by different people because that’s what creative expression is all about, but after seeing the trailer for “The DUFF,” I’m downright angry as there’s no mistaking the messages they’re sending. Beating out “Bae,” “Budtender,” “Contactless,” “Indyref,” “Normcore,” and “Slacktivism,” Oxford Dictionaries’ Word Of The Year has officially been crowned! While they were all worthy contenders, this year’s pick was an obvious choice since it’s usage has more than doubled over the last year, and you’re 30 times more likely to come across the word than you were two years ago. So without further ado, the Word Of The Year is… Keep reading »
Kim Kardashian has become the “butt” of many jokes (sorry I had to), since revealing her naked Paper magazine cover last week, but it’s not only humans who are getting in on the ass action. A few artists over at DeviantArt have created their own covers with famous characters as their cover girls, all the while using Kim as their inspiration. But whose non-fiction ass reigns supreme: Ursula from “The Little Mermaid,” Jasmine from “Aladdin,” Marge Simpson from “The Simpsons” or My Little Pony? Check out their covers after the jump and tell us which is your favorite! Keep reading »

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: I love old people. Old people and babies are my weaknesses. So imagine my excitement when I stumbled upon Tastefully Offensive‘s video called “Senior Citizens Dancing to ‘Turn Down For What.’” Just as you’d imagine, the video is a compilation of dozens of old people getting down with their bad selves, all to the sweet musical dewdrops of Lil Jon’s “Turn Down For What.” If this doesn’t get you through your Tuesday, I don’t know what will.
Also, to see one crunk elderly man that I recently witnessed bustin’ a move on the dance floor, check out my Instagram video after the jump and pray that one day you’ll be as cool as this guy. Keep reading »
I have a new favorite Christmas song that I firmly believe should take the place of “Christmas Shoes” on every radio station during the holiday season. (Let’s be honest, that song is hella depressing and has no place wedged in between “Jingle Bells” and “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”) Kristen Bell joined a cappella group Straight No Chaser to create a modern day Christmas carol called “Text Me Merry Christmas,” which basically sums up every interaction I’ve had on December 25th for the last five years.
Text me Merry Christmas/ Send a selfie too/ If you do, I’ll go ‘Neath the mistletoe/ And pretend my screen is you/ Show me that you love me/ Text xo to kiss and hug me/ I’ll be right here waiting/ For my pants to start vibrating.
Check out the music video for the (fingers crossed) new holiday classic, and view the full lyrics after the jump! “Text Me Merry Christmas” will be available on iTunes tonight at midnight, so get your texting fingers ready. Keep reading »
