What The Hell?!

Kaitlin Nootbaar rocked her four years at Prague High School in Oklahoma. She got all As, maintaining a grade point average of 4.0, and was also active in school activities. She was even named her school’s valedictorian.

In her speech at graduation, Nootbaar said — according to her dad — “When she first started school she wanted to be a nurse, then a veterinarian and now that she was getting closer to graduation people would ask her what do you want to do and she said ‘How the hell do I know? I’ve changed my mind so many times.’”

While there was laughter and applause in the moment, when Nootbbar went to pick up her diploma, she was alerted that officials were not amused by her choice of words. Keep reading »

The rest of the world seems pretty happy about the fact that Katie Holmes has filed for divorce from Tom Cruise. The Telegraph titled their article on the split “Marriage Impossible?” Meanwhile, Amelia wrote, “Well, her contract must be up. Five years after they tied the knot in Italy, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are splitting.” Sherri Reed of The Stir took things a big step farther, writing, “Thank God, Katie Holmes has finally escaped that sham of a marriage … Run Katie run! Suri, take off your heels and run with her!”

So I know that I am in the minority in actually feel pretty bummed about this parting. Yes, Scientology freaks me out and I very much dislike the idea of religion where you buy your way in. But still, these two really did seem in love. And it’s always sad to see that end, no matter what.

9 Reasons We Love Catherine Keener And Can’t Wait For Her New Show

HBO is seriously on a roll. Just as “Girls” and “Veep” weaseled their way into my DVR lineup, the network has announced that it is fast-tracking development for a new show that has me absolutely giddy. The as-of-yet-unnamed series will star the amazing Catherine Keener (“The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” “Cyrus”), who will also produce, and will be written and directed by mind-bending auteur Charlie Kaufman (“Adaptation,” “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”).

Keener and Kaufman first teamed up for “Being John Malkovich” in 1999, and have worked together many times over the years. Now, they are tag-teaming on this project, with Kaufman serving as executive producer. The show sounds appropriately quirky. As Deadline reports, it is “an exploration of one day in a woman’s life and how the events leading up to it can affect, or not, the reality in which she lives.”

I firmly believe that Keener is one of the most underrated actresses in Hollywood. Honestly, I just can’t get enough of her. After the jump, nine reasons this actress is truly the bee’s knees. Keep reading »

Last week, The Frisky told you about the New York banker who was charting the waves of Match.com and came up with a novel way to keep the women he was talking to on the site straight—he made a spreadsheet of the eight women he was corresponding with. He included their name, a photo, his initial impressions after viewing their profile, the dates when they’d exchanged winks, the dates of when they’d exchanged emails, and impressions of their first date. He color-coded the women according to who he wanted to “monitor closely ASAP” and who he wanted to “monitor casually.” He, of course, gave each woman a numerical score based on her appearance, getting so specific as to dole out three 7.5s and a 9.5.
