Are you a mother? Do you know someone who is? You probably do, and that’s why you should be very concerned about Alabama’s chemical endangerment clause, which aims to protect fetuses from mothers who abuse drugs. Alabama’s law — and others like it — signify a wave of legislation aimed at granting fetuses more rights and women less, effectively treating mothers as second class citizens.

These Vagina Rings Look Like Large Gelatinous Slugs

Indie rock darling Grimes is a busy girl. Aside from making her own brand of high-pitched vocal-tinged pop music, she’s also designed her own line of um, very special jewelry. The rings come out of collaboration between Grimes (nee Claire Boucher) and Montreal-based jewelry designer Morgan Black. She calls ‘em pussy rings, but the finger jewelry resemble jelly-ish slug creatures more than vaginas, at least to us. [GrimeStyle]

What’s Anderson Whispering In Meow’s Ear?

Look! It’s two of my all-time fave things ever: Meow, the morbidly obese stray cat, and Anderson Cooper. They’re having a moment. That’s a lot of pussy in Anderson’s lap! Maybe even the most pussy that’s ever been there. In any case, what do you think Anderson said to lil’ ol’ Meow as they shared a private moment on the set of “Anderson”? My guess: “I know a couple of bears that would just EAT YOU UP! No Meow, not THOSE kind of bears.”

Seems ridiculous, I know, but neon nail polish is illegal to produce in the United States. That doesn’t mean you’ll get ticketed for wearing it (if you get your grubby hands on some, that is). It just means that your neon polishes are going to come import-only. For now.

“Neon polish is actually illegal to produce in the US,” says Jan Arnold, co-founder and creative director of CND Colours. “So if you see a neon shade in the store, it’s imported—or your polish hue is just really bright, not a true neon, making it easier to pull off.” If you insist on being USA all the way, by all means, stick to bright non-neon shades like bumble bee yellow or bold orange reds. This past weekend, I watched the classic ’90s movie “Empire Records,” which follows a day in the life of an independent record store and all of its employees (indie records stores, remember those?). Over the course of the film, one girl (Robin Tunney from “The Craft”) tries to commit suicide and shaves her head, another (Renee Zellweger) sleeps with a washed up rock star, and yet another gets into Harvard and falls in love with her best friend (yep, Liv). Also, nobody seems to actually work.

My friends and I were really coveting Liv’s femme take on grunge, so I thought I’d see if I could copy her iconic look. Check it out after the jump.

The Good, The Bad & The Totally Meh At The 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner

This past weekend was the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and literally, like, anybody who’s ever been on TV was there. I mean, Caroline Manzo from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” attended. So did Rob Morrow, that guy from “Northern Exposure.” And as you might imagine, there were a zillion famous ladies in dresses, great and small. Some of them were gorgeous, others not so much.  Let’s take a look, shall we?
