Do you watch “The Voice”? If not, you should, not only because it is the best music competition show out there, but also so you can enjoy the eccentric behaviors of judges Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green. In addition to the weird overblown sexual tension-filled snipes between Christina and Adam, you will find Cee Lo, inexplicably stroking his white Persian cat. At first, we weren’t sure if the cat was real, but it seems that it is. It seems Cee Lo is really trying to make cat-sessories a thing. And hey, we can totally get behind that.

I’m not a particularly girly-girl when it comes to underthings, and thongs scare the crap out of me. I prefer full coverage on my butt, thank you very much. But just because a girl wants her ass to be fully swathed in fabric, doesn’t mean she wants to forgo sexiness. That’s why I’m totally feeling this underwear set from Pins and Needles. Cute, but not too frilly, retro, but not to the point of looking costume-y, this floral bra and panty set feels totally fresh. [Bra, $24; Panty, $16, Urban Outfitters]
“We have conservative African-Americans who will not see certain films, will only see Tyler Perry but will not see Spike Lee. …I know a lot of African-American women that didn’t want to see ‘The Help’ because they had lived it as little girls and it was a circumstance that shouldn’t have been and it was so problematic for them. It brought back horrible memories and they couldn’t see it, nor will they read the book.”
– Legendary actress Pam Grier offers a different take on the popularity of some African-American films over others. [ONTD]
Designer collection videos keep getting more and more elaborate (see this Proenza Schouler video for proof). This new campaign film for Louis Vuitton, made under the creative direction of Katie Grand, plays on the showgirl films of yore and features models doing synchronized fan dances. It’s a gorgeous video, but one note: it’s striking how much skinnier these models seem than the original fan girls. Where are their boobs and butts? [YouTube]
Last night, celebs turned out for the premiere of the new Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams movie “The Vow.” For some reason Rebecca Black was there? Check out her outfit and the rest of the cast’s hits and misses in the slideshow above!
The new season of “Portlandia” is just as funny as the first — if not more. In season one, Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein noted that Portland is just a little bit stuck in the 1990s. But this season, the pair make fun of Portland’s obsession with locavore and artisanal culture, which is exactly like life in the 1890s. “Remember when belts didn’t exist yet? Everyone wore suspenders,” says Fred. “People used to carve their own ice cubes?” And now, thanks to Portland, they’re carving their own ice cubes again. [Eater]
Our new favorite “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” contestant is Joann Chen, from Brooklyn. She’s pretty good at answering questions, but she’s even better at adding in strange and bewildering side commentary. For instance, a question about the use of “styptic pencils” elicited the following comment from Joann: “I wore pants today for a reason. I’m pretty sloppy in the shower.” Watch the clip to get the full story. Great Marley’s ghost! [Buzzfeed]
There’s wearing your heart on your sleeve, and then there’s wearing the inside of your legs on your outside. I’m all for the former, but the latter — as demonstrated by these “Muscles Leggings” from Black Milk Clothing — is rather unappealing. Nobody wants to see your gristle-y muscles. Nobody. Hey, thank goodness for Etsy, am I right? Where else would I find scarflets, Scotch Tape wallets — and butt dresses like this glorious one made by LinaSpiroS. It’s like a very sexy Forever Lazy, which, come to think of it, makes it not sexy at all. See the full moon after the jump. [Regretsy]
For some reason, the French put Karl Lagerfeld in charge of the Paris edition of the Metro yesterday, giving the Chanel designer free reign to say whatever ridiculous thing he pleases. Herr Karl’s made such a habit of ridiculousness — claiming the best way to stay thin is by chain-smoking and downing Diet Coke and consomme (see The Karl Lagerfeld Diet for reference)– that nothing surprises us anymore. He just poops these kind of brazenly tacky comments out. Like his take on Lana del Rey and Adele. Just another day in the life of a strange O-ffend-O Bot. [Styleite]
