Angelina Jolie may have started the whole blood-wearing trend with that infamous vial of Billy Bob’s bodily fluids she used to wear back in the day, but thanks to society’s newfound obsession with all things vampire, the trend is now more mainstream, not to mention popular, than ever. People are literally ravenous (ha) for it: Etsy seller VonErickson’s $4 blood choker just got picked up on Buzzfeed. A few hours later, it was sold out, but a $16 version is now available. (How convenient!) And people (like us) have already been buzzing about DuWop’s much-anticipated bloody version of Lip Venom, $16, so the company is offering a sneak preview to US Weekly Readers. Here’s how hot it is: The website currently says, “Due to the extraordinary response to this product we are experiencing shipping delays.” Are you feeling it, too? After the jump, it’s blood chic!

Ugh, I am actually a fan of Justin Timberlake so it broke my heart to hear that NYC lit agent David Vigliano is shopping around Timberlake’s golf memoir proposal. Maybe it’s just the die hard golfer in me, since I loved him being a singer, dancer, fashion designer and even enviro-friendly golf course owner, but this makes no sense. Why? It’s true he did play golf all through high school and I know he made the pro-am (pro-amateur) celebrity golf tournament circuits, but from what I understand from those who know better is that he isn’t exactly an avid golfer. Back in the day one of my friends was partnered in a round with him and decided that he was more interested in signing autographs than playing ball. He will be stepping in as the Associate Director in the White House’s Office of Public Liaison & Intergovernmental Affairs. As an Indian-American he is the perfect liason between Obama and the Asian community. Happy first week Kal! Keep reading »
I don’t know what all the fuss is about when it comes to these ugly/sexy Christopher Kane gorilla shirts/dresses, but I love them. It makes as much sense as why people enjoy sitting in the rain or feel the need to eat Oreos with peanut butter. Celebs from Rihanna to our Sea of Shoes girl have been sporting them out on the town. (If anyone wants to time warp with me you’ll remember that indie fave Kristen Stewart even sported a gorilla dress on the march edition of Nylon.) Let’s investigate, shall we? Keep reading »
It’s hard to look all darling when you’re freaking baking inside a worrisomely hot car and not say, chillaxin’ in the breezy Bahamas. Somehow, our style icon-o-the-day, indie fashion maven Zooey Deschanel, makes toasty weather chic look easy and reminds us of cotton candy, photo booths, lounge chairs, and that sweet, sweet patio water mister we’re saving up for. Luckily, these cute shoes are cool and way cheaper. Keep reading »
