How To Date An Older Guy And Never Look Back

Sick of younger guys who can barely bother to carry on a decent conversation unless it involves the words ”beer” and “pong”? Yeah, me too. That means it’s time to go outside your age bracket and find yourself an older guy to date.

Dating older men (not, I should clarify, OLD men) can be a totally amazing experience. Here are some reasons why dating an older man can be awesome. Read more…

5 Reasons The New iPad Is A Waste of Money

The jig is up. We’ve been bamboozled. Had. Got the wool pulled over our eyes. There isn’t, in fact, an iPad3, or an iPad Mini, like some had been hoping. Instead, there’s the “New iPad.” Whatever that means.

Obviously, there are some cool things aboutApple’s latest gadget — and we told you about them yesterday, so I won’t go over them again in excessive detail. (Voice dictation [aka Siri]; new retina display; new iSight Camera, to name a few.) But still. I say save your cash. You really needn’t shell out $500 of your hard earned money — or $729 if you want the 4G. And here are five reasons why. Read more…

Parents Realize They Forgot 3-Year-Old At Chuck E. Cheese — When They See Her On The News!

Alexander Pope should be spinning in his grave today. He’s the guy who said, “To err is human, to forgive divine.” But I’m pretty sure he didn’t mean police should be forgiving the parents who didn’t realize they’d “accidentally” left their 3-year-old at a Maryland Chuck E. Cheese until they saw her face on the 11 o’clock news.

But that’s exactly what happened this week in Bel Air, Maryland. Police were called to the kiddie restaurant around 8 p.m. on Sunday to help a lost little girl named Harmony who approached a restaurant manager to say she was a little thirsty. But they didn’t get a call from Harmony’s mom and dad until after 11 … after her picture was plastered on every TV screen in town. And they still gave her back!

That is some mighty powerful forgiveness right there! Maybe too powerful? Read more…

Tim Tebow As “The Bachelor”? We Only Wish This Was A Joke!

Reality television is more or less synonymous with “dumb ideas.” But we may have the dumbest yet: Tim Tebow as … wait for it … “The Bachelor”! First one to shout out what’s wrong with this picture wins a prize!

Did you yell Tim Tebow’s a good Christian boy? You win a pat on your back (sorry, you’ll have to give it to yourself, I’m too busy rubbing my forehead in agony over this whole concept)! Hey … it’s better than a date with Ben Flajnik, isn’t it? Gah! Read more…

Kirk Cameron Is Even More Self-Righteous And Bigoted Than We Thought

Color me disgusted. I thought I lost all respect for Kirk Cameron back when the newly born-again sitcom star had a big moral hissy fit about his co-star Julie McCullough’s past as a Playboy centerfold and got her fired from “Growing Pains.” But after the incredibly offensive, self-righteous comments Cameron made to Piers Morgan, I somehow lost even more respect for him. His respect account is overdrawn, let’s put it that way.

Look, it’s not like I was surprised to hear the former Mike Seaver say he doesn’t support gay marriage. Not after the whole Playboy thing. But what he said about homosexuality in general was shockingly intolerant, even for him. Cameron told Morgan, ”I think that it’s … unnatural. I think that it’s detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization.”

Yeah. He really said that. Out loud and everything. Read more…

6 Totally Obvious Signs It’s A Great Relationship

You’re in love. Of that there is no doubt. The two of you are like peas and carrots together. There’s nothing you don’t love about the other (well, okay, his habit of putting the toilet paper roll on THE WRONG WAY is kinda annoying, but you know). You spend all the time you can together. You may even talk marriage.

So, what are the signs you’re (finally) in a healthy relationship? I’ll tell you.

1) You can be your true selves together. No longer do you have to pretend to love Chinese food or weird obscure foreign films — you’re totally happy saying, “You know what? I’m not into this” while knowing this won’t affect a thing between you.  Read more

You Won’t Believe What Women Will Do Under Their Desks At Work

I once read a survey that claimed that a third of American women won’t leave the house without their makeup on. As a mother who is just happy to have a kid whose teeth are brushed and clothes on when it’s time to get going most days, I’m going to be honest with you. The luxury of fixing one’s self up in the comfort of my own bathroom is over-rated!

Those of us with too little time on our hands have perfected the art of getting our beauty rituals on anywhere but the house. Case in point: I carry tweezers everywhere because when you find a few seconds to pluck, you take advantage of them – wherever you are. But a quick eyebrow grab at a stoplight has nothing on some of the crazy makeup fixes some of my friends have copped to. Trust me … you have to read ‘em to believe ‘em. Read more…

Calling Divorce “Immature And Selfish” Is Immature, Selfish And Wrong

With a divorce rate of roughly 50 percent, almost all of us know someone — a friend, a colleague, a family member, ourselves — whose marriage didn’t work out. We tell ourselves, especially if they had kids, that the family will be better off, that they will all be happier in a split family than they would in a united but fighting one. Writer Penelope Trunk of The Brazen Careerist isn’t so sure.

Trunk has built a career on being shocking and saying everything that is on her mind. With a post she did a few days ago, she has certainly ruffled a few feathers. In it, she calls divorce an “incredibly lame and selfish route to take.” She says: “Divorce is immature and selfish.” Wow. This is especially interesting coming from someone who is herself divorced and who is also trying to work out a relationship with a man she openly admits abuses her on a regular basis.

In other words, her opinion may be slightly colored by her own experience. But is she right? Read more…

8 Ways Pinterest Can Change Your Life

Surely by now you’ve heard of a little thing called Pinterest, right? It’s an invite-only online pin board website that I can’t get enough of. All you need to get started is someone you know with an account to “invite” you to join. Once you’re in, the fun begins.

Here’s how it works: You can “pin” things you find online — for example, delectable recipes, awesome accessories, swoon-worthy home decor ideas, and even inspirational quotes — and save them to your personal board. It’s a visually appealing way to collect all the things you love online and store them in one place. Keep reading »

Susan G. Komen Gun Proves They Can’t Reverse The Stigma They Created

The Susan G. Komen Foundation used to stand for something good, but their techniques of late — and especially their decision to stop funding Planned Parenthood – have made many of us question any of their motives at all. And even though they announced today that they will continue funding Planned Parenthood, the damage is done.

Yes, Komen has caved under the enormous pressure from most of America, but no matter what founder Nancy Brinker CLAIMS, the original decision was made for political reasons and has tarnished them forever. Because of the decision, all of the hypocritical decisions they have made have come to light. And it’s mind blowing. Keep reading »
