Thoughts From Guys On Our IM: Have You Tried To Change A Woman’s Style?
On Friday, we heard that Reggie Bush wants Kim Kardashian to lose weight because she has too much junk in the trunk. It seems a trend is developing…either that or men are losing their dang minds. Chris Brown reportedly told Rihanna to stop wearing revealing outfits. Apparently, he is worried her clothing will attract too many male admirers. But isn’t that the point? Let’s be honest, the whole appeal of Rihanna is her image. [Her songs are pretty catchy too! -- Ed.] Young women want to copy her style, and young men want her on their arm. If you take away the racy stage costumes, what is left besides a pretty face? Rihanna, who has not confirmed her relationship with Chris, should get herself a more mature man who is more trusting and actually appreciates the work she puts into her look. [China Daily]

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a dilemma…My boyfriend has a career. OK, so you’re probably grumbling to yourself, “I can think of at least 10 things worst than that.” But did I tell you it’s a music career?
Yes, my guy is one of a few trying to change the direction of hip hop, so we never have to hear crap like “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” ever again. I’m really proud of him for fighting this uphill battle, but I can’t help feeling a little jealous or disappointed when his career comes before me, like when he deejays EVERY Friday night. When I was in nursery school, my mom always dressed me in overalls because they were easy to take on and off. That is until she came home from a shopping trip, and I exclaimed, “Openwalls, openwalls, all the time openwalls. What do you think I a farmer?” Well now, I’m totally loving this trend. NOT overalls, but the more adult, updated version of the jumpsuit because it’s just as easy to wear as a dress. The secret is in the proportions, fit and fabric. I Know He’s Hot! I Can Hear It In His Voice.
Have you ever been attracted to someone whom you only heard, but had not seen? Well it turns out that through our senses, we are able to judge a potential mate’s health and reproductive genetics–reflected in the symmetry of their body–via the sound of his/her voice. In a recent study, published in the Journal of Nonverbal Behavior, participants listened to recorded voices and rated the voices based on attractiveness according to nine characteristics, including approachability, intelligence, sexiness and warmth. The researchers found that men and women whose voices were deemed approachable, sexy and intelligent were the most attractive overall. And the voices rated the most attractive were from those whose bodies were the most symmetrical. But a sexy voice and symmetrical body have nothing to do with the attractiveness of a person’s face. And researchers are still unable to objectively quantify a “sexy voice.” [Tango] Keep reading »
