Weekend Wear: Vanessa Paradis’ Effortless French Fashionista Look

Vanessa Paradis is one of Karl Lagerfeld’s muses, which is why I think she felt she could get away with wearing such a casual look for the Chanel fashion show in Paris this week. Whatever, I think it makes for an excellent weekend outfit for us regular Janes. Click onward to see how to get it the faux Chanel way. Keep reading »

Javier Bardem Used To Take It All Off

“I did it as a joke, for some friends at first. But a guy in the bar we were in spotted me and hired me for the next day. I was so bad, I did it to ‘Leave Your Hat On’, and I had to get my mother and sister to cheer me on.”

Javier Bardem confesses that before he was an Oscar-winning actor (he’s also nominated again this year for “Biutiful”), husband to Penelope Cruz, and father to their newborn baby, he was a stripper. I would really, really appreciate some video evidence of his act being unearthed and posted to YouTube. This could do more to resurrect Tom Jones’ career than “The Full Monty.” [Bumpshack] Keep reading »

Miley Cyrus Brings Out Jeremy Piven’s Inner Teenager

“I think I must be an 18-year-old girl because we got along really well. It was just so much fun … we had great chemistry. It was really, really weird—we’re like polar opposites … You know, you can judge her, but what were you doing when you were 18? She’s kind of amazing. There’s something so incredibly refreshing about someone who is exactly who they are. There’s nothing pretentious about her. She’s this force. She loves to laugh.”

– Jeremy Piven, 45, seems to have found an unlikely kindred spirit in Miley Cyrus, his new bestie and co-star in the upcoming film “So Undercover.” No good can come of this friendship, I’m afraid. [E! Online] Keep reading »

Marriage Is Great For Your Health — So Long As It’s A Good One

Good news, married and soon-to-be-married folk! Wedded bliss can lead to better mental and physical health, a longer life, and more friends — but only if the union is a “loving and supportive” one. Researchers found that happily married people were more likely to eat healthier and have fuller social lives, likely because a supportive partnership encourages healthier habits and widens a person’s social circle. However, according to the researcher who reviewed major studies on the subject in seven European countries, an unhappy marriage is worse for a person’s mental health than not being in a relationship at all. In other words, there are worse things than being alone. [Daily Mail U.K.] Keep reading »

I Wanna Dance With This Guy

You know what always puts a smile on my face? Someone dancing like nobody is watching. Like this older gentleman (and his lady dance partner) totally getting down to a live band performing “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” I love that he’s actually acting out all of the lyrics. Oh! And the way he just uses all of the dance space possible during the chorus. Even the way he runs his hands over his combover is elegant. You go on with your bad self, mister! [EW] Keep reading »
