The new season of “America’s Next Top Model” premieres tonight, and while the returning “All-Stars” may consider themselves experts by now, it’s been a while since most of them lived in the infamous “Top Model” house.  Coming fresh off last season, I feel it’s my duty to remind them of a few important do’s and don’ts while living in a house full of models. Of course, these pointers come from personal experience in Cycle 16, but let’s face it, with a few minor tweaks, most of these issues apply to any of the seasons. Then again, maybe they should ignore my advice altogether. A bunch of competing model hopefuls in one house makes for great television … especially when they are misbehaving! Campus Confidential: Disorientation

The bottom line of college orientation is that it’s a paradox: feeling simultaneously deeply comforted and entirely thrown off your axis, spinning rapidly towards the unknown. Or at least, that’s what orientation was like for me.

This paradox manifested itself at the very beginning of the journey from Ohio to New York. After posting my obligatory, “Leaving for college. Thanks for the memories everybody!” Facebook status, I packed all of my earthly belongings into the family car. That’s when I realized that all of my earthly belongings fit into the family car. While the reality of this totally satisfied the fatalist in me (look how easy it would be for me to escape with so little materialistic baggage to weigh me down once the zombie apocalypse hits — yippee!) it also left me reeling. It only underscored the fact that the home I was leaving, the home I had grown up in and considered my own, really wasn’t mine any more. Everything that grounded me to my house was stuffed into the car, ready to be shipped off to what is essentially a linoleum-floored, whitewashed box. Statements I had made with confidence ever since I clicked submit on my electronic application quickly turned to questions: This is what I want? I’m excited? I’m ready to be on my own? Playboy Playmates are known for being bastions of class and social distinction, but sometimes something in them snaps and they go bad. This was apparently the case with1968 Playmate Angela Dorian, who tried to kill her husband in October, using a gun given to her by Roman Polanski 40 years ago. Dorian was besties with Polanski’s wife, Sharon Tate, who was murdered by Charles Manson. Polanski apparently gave her the gun to protect herself. But now the Playmate could face life in prison, after shooting her husband during an argument. [TMZ]

Lately, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher have been ultra affectionate in public, trying to show the world that their marriage is not in danger amid rumors that Ashton cheated on Demi with a 21-year-old named Brittney Jones. But in a new interview, Brittney claims that Ashton wasn’t actually cheating when he allegedly had sex with her on a couch while Demi was out of town. “Ashton said he and Demi have an open relationship and have threesomes often,” Brittney explained. “I didn’t feel at all like he had just cheated on his wife. It felt normal and OK.” Then she contradicted herself and said, “[Ashton] said they share women, but he isn’t supposed to go off and sleep with women on his own. He said Demi had to be there and that Demi likes to pick the girls out.” [Huffington Post]

The source here is about as reliable as a used car salesman with the words “I lie” tattooed across his forehead. But is it possible that Demi and Ashton have an open relationship? Can’t a girl lie around in a bikini without getting hit with boob job rumors? Liz Hurley took to her Twitter page this week to deny she’s gone under the knife. “I read that I’ve just had breast implants,” she tweeted. “Happy to report (I’m) still au naturel but I do wear exceptionally cut bikinis.” (Incidentally, Hurley also owns a swimwear line. Product plug!) [StarPulse] I think I believe her, but the funny thing about boob jobs is that no matter how obvious they are, the boob job recipient tends to deny them anyway. Kate Gosselin has had some tough blows this year and Hugh Hefner has dealt her another one. When asked if there was any possibility that Momzilla would grace the glossy covers of Playboy, Hef said, “No! No!” And added insult to injury by suggesting he doesn’t even know why she’s on “Dancing With the Stars.” He explained, “I don’t think she’s a celebrity.” That’s the second Gosselin rejected from the pornography business and it’s gotta hurt to hear that no one wants to check out your goody basket. [E! Online] Don’t worry, Kate, you’re not the only celebrity to fall short of Hef’s stringent standards. You’re not even the only celebrity on “DWTS” to be rejected!
