Delta Airlines bans Trump supporter for life for calling women “Hillary bitches”

As if traveling around this time of year weren’t shitty enough as is, for passengers on one Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta to Allentown, Pennsylvania last Tuesday, a shrieking Donald Trump supporter took it upon himself to make a scene and identify female passengers as “Hillary bitches.” Video footage of the unnamed man was posted to Facebook and inspired outcry since the unnamed man was allowed to stay on the flight after his outburst. But according to a report since, said Trump supporter has been banned by Delta for life. Sure, this is hardly enough to restore the sense of justice the election inevitably robbed us of, but at the very least, Delta is doing something.

In the footage posted by Emma Baum with the insightful quip, “Didn’t take long to notice that I’m back in ‘Merica,” the man stands and yells, “Donald Trump, baby!” as he searches the plane for any fellow deplorables who will join him in making a scene.

When no one responds to his sad attempt at a rally, he pathetically attempts at humor, commenting, “We got some Hillary bitches on here.” He continues: “He’s your president. Every goddamn one of youse. If you don’t like it, too bad.”

According to The Daily Mail, the farthest Delta crew members went to disciplining the man was pulling him aside for 15 minutes before peacefully allowing him to return to his seat, which was already just over the line to the Trump supporter, who reportedly bitterly complained that getting a strict talking to was “what you get for being a patriot.”

Activists criticized Delta for not taking action against the rowdy white passenger, pointing out how its inaction emphasized a racial double standard in airplane decorum. After all, people of color have been removed from flights for far, far less (read: just sitting there, or doing math).

Delta CEO Ed Bastian has since released an open letter to employees, stating the Trump supporter “displayed behavior that was loud, rude and disrespectful to his fellow customers.” Additionally, Bastian claimed that if staff had “witnessed firsthand what was shown in the video, there is no question they would have removed him from the aircraft.”

“He will never again be allowed on a Delta plane,” Bastian wrote, and noted how at this time of “heightened tension in our society,” now more than ever, Delta must adhere to its “core values” and “treat one another with dignity and respect.”

And the first step toward treating everyone with dignity and respect, obviously, is banning rude, profane Trump supporters for life. Thanks, Delta.
