Why did Kendall Jenner delete her Instagram? Her account just disappeared

The Kardashian-Jenner clan has mastered social media, but lately has been more skeptical about sharing every aspect of their lives with the world. Kim Kardashian took a break from social media following her traumatizing robbery in Paris, but why did Kendall Jenner delete her Instagram? On Sunday, the 21-year-old model suddenly deleted all her photos and the account read, “Sorry this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.” Now how are we supposed to follow her every move and plan our daily look around hers?

She does still have her Facebook and Twitter accounts up and running, so she hasn’t totally disappeared. Jenner hasn’t commented on why she spontaneously trashed her Instagram, but she has explained in the past that she likes to remove herself when she starts spending too much time on social media. In an interview with Allure in September, Jenner described being on vacation with her sister, who wouldn’t put her phone down. She said, “I was just zoning out, taking it all in. And Kylie wouldn’t put her phone down. I’m like, ‘That’s so crazy to me that you’re not experiencing this.'” Jenner continued, “That was the moment it kind of clicked for me. And I didn’t like it. So sometimes I delete Instagram or Twitter or Snapchat off my phone for a couple days.”

So, maybe Jenner just needed a break from her millions of adoring fans and the nasty trolls that inevitably come with them. Or maybe she’s becoming more private after the Paris incident. The whole family was concerned after Kardashian was attacked, and the police believe her social media presence made her an easier target. She hasn’t come back online since the incident, only once posting a photo to Facebook and then deleting it.

Kardashian’s break could be costing her millions, though. The New York Post estimates that she could lose almost $4 million during her hiatus, since being on social media is basically her job. Jenner doesn’t have quite as much money to lose, and she didn’t delete all her accounts, so she probably won’t see as many negative side effects to quitting Insta.

If she doesn’t come back soon, people are going to start losing it. It was hard enough living without Kardashian in our feeds, and now Jenner?! Please, please, please stay put, rest of the Kardashian crew. I need your photos to simultaneously feel better and worse about my life.
