Chrissy Teigen’s baby officially won Halloween, but we’re not bitter about it
When it comes to anything costume-related, it’s hard to argue against the fact that babies and small dogs always one-up their bigger, older counterparts. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that Chrissy Teigen’s baby officially won Halloween, leaving the rest of us weeping in the dust before the holiday is even over. In all honesty, it’s impossible to stay mad after seeing pictures of Teigen’s baby, Luna, in costumes that cover everything a tiny, fatty human could conceivably pull off, including but not limited to baby Luna dressed as Minnie Mouse, a hula dancer costume, Alice in Wonderland, and, of course, a hot dog.
The Lip Sync Battle star, supermodel, and nauseatingly happy partner to satin-voiced singer John Legend started posting photos of their adorable spawn in various Halloween costumes on Instagram Thursday, under the pretense that they were testing out the miniature costumes for actual Halloween. In all reality, we know that baby Luna probably pulled a Baby Geniuses play and manipulated Teigen into posting those photos as an alpha move. Nothing says dominance quite like a series of photos of a baby schooling the rest of us at our own games (the game in this case being Halloween pageantry).
Case in point, here’s baby Luna dressed as a sentient hot dog who knows she’s beating the rest of us at this annual costume mess.
There’s also a video of her wobbling in a peacock costume, which is simply too much because her shaky baby stance is so precious her existence should be illegal.
During Teigen’s sweep of dangerously tiny baby costumes, she also picked up a classic Minnie Mouse costume for her Instagram famous daughter. She looks deeply pensive and emotionally burdened for a baby in a bright pink mouse costume.
While showing off her baby’s adorable shape-shifting abilities, Teigen assured her followers that any unused costumes will be donated to other families, so the gift of costumed babies can keep on giving.
Personally, I’m partial to babies dressed as food, although Little Red Riding Hood is a classic jam.
The best part of these photos is the way in which baby Luna looks completely bored by all the costumes, and yet she’s still down to model.
This version of baby Luna looks like she’s about to kick someone off American Idol before busting out some fresh dance moves.
Apparently the crew at Lip Sync Battle was deeply invested in Luna’s parade of costumes, as they sent a full hula dancing scene for the tiny nugget.
I’m fully down to give up on Halloween and let the babies take over if it will mean more pictures like this. This is how we will renew the Earth, one baby costume at a time.
