Is the whole ‘OITNB’ cast engaged? Laura Prepon is tying the knot with Ben Foster
For the cast of Orange Is The New Black, love is in the air. Tuesday night, it was revealed Laura Prepon is engaged to Ben Foster, and earlier that day, the love of my life, Samira Wiley, was officially taken off the market with the most beautiful ring (and fiancée) I have seen in a long time. I don’t even want to get married and my fingers are too stubby for bling, but there’s something about all this romance that is making me want to get domestic as hell.
Prepon and Foster walked the red carpet at The Girl On The Train premiere Tuesday night and finally curbed all the rumors about their romance. It was always unclear whether they were dating or not, though they were often spotted walking around New York City together looking super love-dovey. They’ve also know each other forever, according to People, since Foster is buds with Danny Masterson, who starred on That ’70s Show with Prepon back in the day.
So, don’t feel bad if you didn’t see it coming. Not even the tabloids were convinced. Just like Wiley, Prepon’s engagement ring might give you even more feels, if you’re into that sort of thing. The ring is apparently a “large round solitaire on a thin pavé yellow gold band,” according to people who know what these words mean when it comes to jewels.
Congratulations are apparently in order on all fronts. Getting engaged seems to be more fun when you can brag about the symbol of ownership someone puts on you — I don’t get it, but I guess it’s better than getting peed on (unless that’s something you enjoy).
This is the first time Prepon’s been engaged, but Foster has popped the question before. He was engaged to Robin Wright (that’s hot) twice, but they broke it off for good back in August 2015. Wright was all about that Foster-life though. She told Vanity Fair when they were still a couple that Foster is just all around awesome. “I’ve never been happier in my life than I am today. Perhaps it’s not ladylike [to say], but I’ve never laughed more, read more, or come more than with Ben. He inspires me to be the best of myself,” she said.
Laughing, reading, and coming are the three requirements to living my best life, too — so Ben, if you have any friends, let ‘em know I’m single. It’s also kind of cool that Prepon and him have kept their relationship low-key and haven’t made any official statement except flaunting that ring on a red carpet.
I’m off to go think about coming with Ben Foster now. Byeeeeeee.
