The 10 best Twitter reactions to Apple’s AirPods everyone’s already lost
Apple had social media and the tech world in a frenzy when they revealed their latest offerings during their annual product update event Wednesday. While users were excited about the new Apple Watch Series 2 and the sleek new iPhone 7, everyone lost their collective shit after discovering the new iPhone 7 doesn’t have a headphone jack for the current Apple headphones, and people instead have to use wireless AirPods. Needless to say, there were some amazing Twitter reactions to Apple’s AirPod announcement.
According to Apple’s Phil Schiller, the absence of the headphone jack took a lot of “courage” and is the first step toward moving to the next level. But never fear, users will still be able to listen to music on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with AirPods. The wireless AirPod headphones look exactly like the earbuds on regular Apple headphone sans the cords.
While a few people were into the new headphone design, most Apple users seemed pretty pissed about AirPods. After years of wanting the simple things in life, like a screen that won’t shatter, they felt like Apple went completely left field and decided to fix something that really wasn’t broken in the first place. And to top it all off, the AirPods cost a whopping $159 and look super easy to lose.
Of course, the best part about No Headphone Jack-gate and AirPods was the Twitter reactions. Some of the reactions were hilarious:

RIP Aux Cord
On Needing “Find My AirPods”
The funny thing about all of the tweets is there will still be a way to use the AUX cord. Apple will include an adapter which plugs into the charging port. So, it will be possible to use your old-school headphones. But, what happens when you are in the middle of a Netflix binge at work and your battery is running low? That is a choice no iPhone user should have to face.
