Katy Perry Might Throw Major Shade At Taylor Swift With Her Next Album

The drama continues in the world of pop, as Katy Perry might be throwing shade at Taylor Swift if the song titles she’s registered for her new album are any clue. Star (the most trustworthy of all the tabloids, obvs), reported that Perry has registered the song titles “Crocodile Tears,” “She’s So Creepy,” “Last Cry,” and “Victory.” Those song titles could definitely be about Swift. I mean, it could only be more clear if one song were titled “Taylor You Suck.” I do like “She’s So Creepy,” because although I have a soft spot for 1989, TSwift is fucking creepy these days.

I can’t tell if she sucks and is manipulative, or if Kanye just took advantage of her and she really does have this amazing #girlsquad and #goals and shit. In any case, I might be veering towards #TeamPerry if this beef carries on.

Apparently, Star’s sources say Perry plans to “capitalize” on Swift’s degrading image. “Katy has so many ideas  — and she just finished a song about karma and how trying to smear someone’s name can bite you in the butt,” a source told them. The anonymous source added, “Pretty much the entire album is going to be aimed at Taylor, and it will be so obvious who the songs are about. Katy is kind of starting a musical WWIII.”

The beef between Perry and Swift is a long and complicated one. First they were besties, and then John Mayer got between them. Later, Swift revealed that “Bad Blood” was about a well-known musical artist she used to be friends with. Real slick, Swift. And from there it’s just gotten more intense. Or intense-ish. Although TSwift swears it’s not about boys. She told Rolling Stone:

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’ She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business.”

Most recently, Calvin Harris and Swift were bickering about her co-writing credit on one of his new songs and he put his ex on blast. He tweeted,”I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.” Perry responded with her girl Hillary.

I would like to say that these two women should obviously be so above social media drama or public feuds, but it doesn’t look like they are. So, it’s entirely possibly Perry will release an album and call Swift “creepy,” which I secretly can’t wait for.
