T-Pain’s New Video Is Shitty, And By That, I Mean He Takes An Actual Shit In It

At long last, there’s a T-Pain video for “Laugh n Dab” and although the whole theme of the song is “I don’t give a shit,” but he does indeed give one. Usually videos are labeled as “obscene” for gratuitous nudity and or violence, but a visual of human excrement will do it too.

Video may have killed the radio star, but even if you’ve managed to become something of a “video star,” it’s hard to keep up and maintain relevance. With a song like this — having, in my opinion, no artistic merit or originality when it comes to the form and content — you’ve gotta throw in a “shocker” for the video. Give them something to talk about, etc. It’s cheap, but it is what it is.

So, I don’t know who was in charge of making this prop (or if they did it naturally? Is it really T-Pain’s?), but it looks disgusting. It looks like a top-of-the-line gag-poop prop. You’ve seen them before, one of those small, trick toys that you can purchase at magic shops and Spencer gifts and fool your unsuspecting mom or teacher.

If you want to watch the whole video (which I don’t recommend), go forth. If you just wanna see the shit, start watching 1 minute in.

Not as bad as you imagined, huh? The whole video give off a “lame” vibe. Even the “oh no he didn’t!” moment is rather mild.

By contrast, take John Waters’ Pink Flamingos, wherein drag legend Divine actually ate dog poop off the ground. Throughout the film, Divine’s character Babs is constantly trying to prove that she is the most disgusting person in the world. She certainly proves this during the infamously disgusting scene “How Much Is That Doggy In The Window?”

Having witnessed this scene myself, I have to say that I am not impressed with T-Pain’s video nor his attempted “shocker.” Not in the least.

I’m not anti-T-Pain. I will admit that I’m a fan of his 2009 hit, “Buy U A Drank.”

But that was then and this is now. Step it up, T-Pain.
