Malia Obama Will Attend Harvard University In Fall 2017

Malia Obama, the eldest of the first daughters, is confirmed to attend Harvard University in the fall of 2017 after taking a “gap year.” The White House officially announced the news after several years of the world wondering what was in store for Michelle and Barack’s oldest kid. Originally, rumors swirled that Malia was planning on going to film school, after canoodling with showbiz people and even being spotted with Lena Dunham on the set of “Girls.” But it appears she is heading to an Ivy and following in the footsteps of her mom and dad who attended Harvard Law School.

Speculation surrounding Malia’s college choice began after she was spotted wearing a Harvard 2020 shirt on “College Signing Day” at the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. recently and shortly after it was confirmed she was going to attend the college.

The Obamas are not keen on releasing many personal details about their daughters and try to keep them from ruthless media scrutiny, but this news comes as refreshing and optimistic at the end of President Barack Obama’s term in the White House.

Surely, some skeptics will criticize Malia’s decision to take a gap year before studying at the coveted Cambridge, Massachussetts school, but Harvard insiders say that newly admitted students often take a gap year to travel before getting down to academics. Whatever, Malia this is awesome and you SHOULD take this year to find yourself and have a ball before you get down to brass tacks.

Yes Mom, she IS going to college – in 2017 ok?
