Where Can You Buy The Pink Macbook? Here’s The Deal With The Rose Gold Laptop

The first thing you need to know about Apple’s new rose gold MacBook is how much I hate myself for wanting it. I am still beating myself up for opting for the gold iPhone 6, but at least the case I bought to protect the screen makes the gold seem less ostentatious. This gloriously chic and feminine but not sickeningly girly rose gold MacBook though? Grotesque! Embarrassing! Only slightly more subtle than affixing rhinestones to your Sidekick circa 2003! My only question is: WHEN IS IT AVAILABLE AND WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW OMG BECAUSE I WANT IT?

According to The Verge, like the previous iteration, this MacBook also comes in gold, silver and grey – just please don’t ask me to describe the difference between “silver” and “grey” when we’re talking about computer hardware because I don’t know. The MacBook has also been updated with faster processor options – Intel’s sixth-generation Core M, ranging from 1.1GHz to 1.3GHz, for those of you who care — and longer battery life. According to The Verge:

Apple says the MacBook’s battery will now last up to 10 hours while browsing the web and 11 hours of continuous movie playback, an increase of an hour each over the older model. In our review of the MacBook last year, we found that battery life was closely in line with Apple’s estimates, but the laptop could be easily overwhelmed with performance-intensive tasks. Hopefully the new processors and faster memory will make a noticeable difference in the new model.

Check out The Verge’s review below:

Whether you want the revoltingly perfect rose gold option or one of the more low-key color options, the new MacBook will be available starting tomorrow, April 20. Great for stoners with money to burn! Prices range from $1,299 (1.1GHz model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage) to $1,599 (1.2GHz processor, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage) — for those of you who want the fastest processor in order to speed up your porn-downloading times, the 1.3GHz Core m7 is only available in build-to-order machines. FANCY.
