Bill O’Reilly’s Racist Comment To Donald Trump Is Your Peak White Racist Dude Moment Of The Week (Hopefully)
Get Donald Trump and Bill O’Reilly together and the question isn’t if one of them will say something horribly racist, but who will get there first? Bill O’Reilly won the latest round with this racist comment on “The O’Reilly Factor,” prompted by Trump’s promise to win over Black voters with an “economic message” that will guarantee them jobs:
“Many of them are ill-educated and have tattoos on their foreheads, and I hate to be generalized about it, but it’s true. If you look at all the educational statistics, how are you going to get jobs for people who aren’t qualified for jobs?”
Yes, I’m so sure you hate to generalize, Bill, but there you go, spouting off racist stereotypes that are not only utterly simplistic and offensive, but massively inaccurate. I’m not going to bother to engage with O’Reilly’s comments about Black people being uneducated, because he clearly is content to believe that this is an issue of “laziness” as opposed to economic inequality born, in part, out of centuries of racism. HOWEVER. His contention that many Black people “have tattoos on their foreheads” is an egregious LIE that cannot stand. Everyone knows forehead tattoos are mostly a dumb white people thing. I offer these Google image search results as proof:
I await your retraction, O’Reilly.
