High School Student Accepted To Five Ivies After Writing Essay About Her Love For Costco (She’s Also Smart)

There seems to be an uptick of badass high school girls getting into good colleges lately and this new story adds another to the list.

18-year-old high school student Brittany Stinson is smart as hell and also loves the crap out of Costco. She went about her college applications normally like any diligent student except for one thing: all of her essays were about Costco.

Let’s be real though, yes, her Costco essay was probably epic, but she also got amazing grades and is an all-around smart student with above average candidacy. Stinson was accepted into five ivy league schools: Yale, Columbia, University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth, Cornell and Stanford.

Some of the essays ask for info like “background, identity, interest or talent that is so meaningful” and, duh, of course Costco fits into this. Hello, have you been there? It’s a magical land.

Here is a sample of her epic Costco love letter:

“My intense desire to know, to explore beyond the bounds of rational thought; this is what defines me. Costco fuels my insatiability and cultivates curiosity within me at a cellular level. Enfolded to immerse myself in the unknown, I find it difficult to complacently accept the ‘what;’ I want to hunt for the ‘whys’ and dissect the ‘hows.’ In essence, I subsist on discovery”

So well deserved. Congrats Brittany!
