Watch: Peter Dinklage Is Awesome On ‘SNL’ Jokes That George R.R. Martin Wrote His Opening Monologue
Peter Dinklage finally hosted Saturday Night Live last night, and everyone was hoping for a thorough Game of Thrones scoop. He started off joking that George R.R. Martin wrote his opening monologue script but we quickly learned that this was a joke, and Bobby Moynihan was perfect playing Martin for the skit.
“How many Lannisters does it take to screw in a light bulb?” he asked. “None, because they only screw in their parents’ beds.”
The premiere of Game of Thrones on HBO is in a few weeks and this just made me 10x more excited. However, Dinklage did not reveal anything about the nagging question we all have – and that is whether Jon Snow is dead or alive. Dinklage confirmed that “I have no idea if Jon Snow is really dead. I have the scripts, but, if I’m not in the scene, Petey no-read-y.” LOL.
Other highlights included Gwen Stefani and Peter Dinklage appearing in a hilarious sketch together called ‘Space Pants’ – Stefani was the show’s musical guest last night and she slayed.
