The Clooneys Keep Their Sparks Alive Through Social Media

Between Amal Clooney’s high-powered career as an international human rights lawyer and George Clooney’s role as a timeless Hollywood hunk, it’s a wonder they ever have time to bask in the glow of each other’s presence. According to a recent interview with George the couple keeps their sparks alive through the magic of social media.

While they both travel internationally to shoot movies and uphold justice, George said they have certain long-distance romance strategies.

“We have a rule whereby we are never apart for more than a week,” he said. “We also stay in touch via social media, so we try to keep close even if we’re in different parts of the world.”

I imagine the couple coordinating tiny Facetime dates during Amal’s court recesses, George sneaking to the back of the set to unload the hot gossip about his costars. Amal details the legal dramas in which she’s entangled, then they spend a few minutes exchanging longing glances through the screen.

George told reporters the couple also has a homebase in London where they presumably fan and feed each other grapes:

“We have a place in London now where it’s easy for us to spend a lot of time together and I can work on new film projects – writing, reading scripts. Or we can go to Lake Como or spend time in Los Angeles when I need to have meetings for my acting work, or hang around with some of my friends.”

I think having a spare place in London would greatly improve the status of ALL of my relationships.
