Justin Bieber Is Too Tired For Meet and Greets

Justin Bieber loves us… but he’s cancelled all the meet and greets on his Purpose tour according to Us Weekly. Meeting fans leaves him “emotionally exhausted,” Bieber wrote on Instagram. Meeting legions of screaming fans certainly sounds exhausting like a living nightmare, although perhaps he shouldn’t have teed up the opportunity to meet him with a $925 “backstage experience” package.

Love u guys.. I’m going to be canceling my meet and greets. I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people’s spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy.. Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression .. The pressure of meeting people’s expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders. Never want to disappoint but I feel I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised. Can’t tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn’t so hard on me.. And I want to stay in the healthy mindset I’m in to give you the best show you have ever seen ;)

The “healthy mindset” speech comes in coincidentally just after a security incident occurred backstage at an unnamed recent Purpose show.

According to Perez Hiltonfans who bought a meet and greet package won’t get refunded unless they also forfeit their ticket to the show. It’s unclear whether another backstage “opportunity” — the once-in-a-lifetime chance to take a group selfie with Bieber for a cool $2,000 — is affected. How much would you pay for all the likes you’d get on that pic?

After his year of getting swole and apologizing for bad behavior, it’s a tie between Bieber’s fans and his PR team for who’s more upset about this move.
