Kill It With Fire: 7-Eleven Brings Us The Slurpee Donut

I’m not gonna lie. I am a big fan of the 7-Eleven Slurpee. I don’t know why! Honestly they kind of taste like they might be poisoned with antifreeze (and if they were you wouldn’t even notice because they’re so sweet), but for some reason I have always found them very exciting. Also, I think “Red Slurpee” by Ben Lee is an excellent addition to any romantic mixtape you might want to make.

In an effort to capitalize on our national love for the Red Slurpee, and the quirky donut flavor craze sweeping the nation, 7-Eleven has announced that they will now be selling…a Red Slurpee flavored donut. Which sounds kind of like an actual nightmare you would have while in a diabetic coma.

According to Brand Eating, the Wild Cherry Slurpee Donut “is a cake donut with a wild cherry-flavored icing and what appears to be sugar crystals (perhaps to give the donut an ice-like crunch) on top. Inside, the donut is speckled with bits of pink.”

MMmmmmm–mmm! A donut that sounds like it probably tastes like cough syrup, coated in sugar crystals!

The donut itself costs only 99 cents. To boot, 7-Eleven is also celebrating “Bring Your Own Cup Days” today and tomorrow, meaning that if you wish, you can bring a bucket to a 7-11 and fill it up for only $1.50. However, this all may cost you more when you discover that you have to replace all of your teeth on Monday.
