Watch Emma Watson And Lin-Manuel Miranda Rap And Giggle For Gender Equality

If you’ve ever wanted to see a Hamilton star blush, or Emma Watson’s feminist HeForShe organization become more rhythmic, than the internet has graciously gifted you with the video that fulfills both those needs at once.

Yesterday, the Hamilton playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda sat down with everyone’s favorite wizard-gone-feminist-ambassador Emma Watson, so they could essentially giggle at each other’s faces while making a freestyle for feminism.

It starts with Miranda gently teasing Watson, reminding her his promise to freestyle was reliant on her beat-boxing. She gets coy, “This is going to be so bad,” she says, before asking him if it’s proper to cover her mouth while dropping the beat. There are at least four giggle breaks during the video where Watson is obviously embarrassed of herself but having fun regardless, and Miranda is no doubt raptured by her giggling — feeling the full effects of her spell.

Before launching into their rap Watson asks if he’s a feminist, and he enthusiastically confirms. This is very important considering the rap itself was for HeForShe, can you imagine how horribly this video could have derailed if he said, “Naw, I consider myself a humanist,” or “Feminism is for bitches,” or the most realistic, “Anything for you, Emma?”

Luckily for us, it was all almost nauseatingly adorable smooth sailing.

Emma Watson, Drop The BeatAnd here’s a SHORT clip of Emma Watson beatboxing while I freestyle about #HeForShe, if you only have 3 minutes. This was so fun.
