Erin Andrews Was Awarded $55 Million In Peeping Tom Lawsuit

Erin Andrews, of Fox Sportsreceived $55 million in her lawsuit against her stalker and the Nashville hotel management group and owner, after being secretly videotaped through a peephole in her room at a Nashville Marriot in 2008.

The Tennessean reports that Andrews originally sought $75 million in damages. The video of her changing in her hotel room,  taken by Micheal David Barrett, circulated quickly around the internet and was eventually posted online. A jury of seven women and five men deliberated for seven hours before reaching their verdict.

Andrews shared a message of support on Twitter and reportedly wept as the verdict was read in court.
