Ben Carson Has Officially Dropped Out Of The Republican Race

Ben Carson has officially dropped out of the race for the Republican nomination for president, two days after posting on his web site that he “didn’t see a political path forward” and announcing that he wouldn’t participate in last night’s Republican debate in Detroit.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., Carson noted that “there’s a lot of people who love me, they just won’t vote for me.” Which is true — he gained a total of eight delegates on Super Tuesday.

Carson said that he’ll be getting involved with My Faith Votes, a get-out-the-Christian-vote organization, if you will. Carson told the audience at CPAC, “I will still continue to be heavily involved in trying to save our nation. We have to save it.”
