When we hear the phrase “life imitates art” we normally don’t associate life imitating Drew Barrymore’s undercover return to high school in Never Been Kissed. But, in the case of Artur Samarin, a 23-year-old Ukrainian man posing as a high-schooler, life imitates art in the creepiest way.

Up until ast week, the grown man who went by the alias “Asher Potts” was killing it at Harrisburg High School with a 4.16 GPA. Apparently he had recently lost his visa, before resourcefully acquiring a U.S. Social Security card and driver’s license, which enabled him to fulfill his dream of being the worldliest high-schooler Harrisburg has seen in awhile.

The specific circumstances in which the cops uncovered Potts’ true identity are still vague, but he is now safe in jail after achieving his high-school dreams.
