The X-Files revival ended Monday night with a bang — or a whimper, depending on your Twitter feed — but let’s not overlook the little nugget of Gillian Anderson goodness buried among all the post-mortems and what-if’s. Anderson has teamed up with journalist Jennifer Nadel to write WE: A Manifesto for Women Everywhere, which will be released in the U.S. this September. Look, let’s be honest; if Gillian Anderson published a book of her tweets, it would sell like hot cakes! But a self-help book by Scully and her bestie? Sign us up!

According to the publisher, “Combining tools that are practical, psychological and spiritual, WE is both a process and a vision for a more fulfilling way of living. And a truly inspiring vision of a happier, more emotionally rewarding future we can all create together.” Who knows what that means? It can’t be worse than The Artist’s Way, right?

For the past few years, Anderson has also been co-writing a series of sci-fi/fantasy novels with Jeff Rovin called The EarthEnd Saga about a badass child psychologist. The third in the series, The Sound of Seas, will also hit shelves this September.

In the meantime, Anderson is filming the third and final season of BBC crime thriller The Fall, which co-stars the human equivalent of a soggy deli sandwich, Jamie Dornan.
