David Bowie’s Blackstar Is Now An Instagram Miniseries

Millennial Bowie fans, buckle in for some exciting news: The legend’s final album Blackstar has been made into an Instagram miniseries, titled Unbound.

What’s an Instagram miniseries? I have no clue! I’m excited to see how sixteen fifteen-second interpretations of the album will pan out into a cohesive whole. The miniseries will star Rookie founder Tavi Gevinson and Six Feet Under’s Patricia Clarkson, so I assume it will be appropriately stylish for a series based on a David Bowie album.

The series’ creators, Carolynn Cecilia and Nikki Borges, were given permission to use music from the album for the episodes “with no limitations or preconditions on [Bowie’s] part” prior to the album’s release, so the project does have Bowie’s blessing.

You can check out the series trailer below, and follow InstaMiniSeries on Instagram to watch the episodes as they’re released every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, starting tomorrow, February 25.
