Ruby Rose Calls Out Kanye Over Taylor Swift Comments

Kanye’s been making an extra big splash the past few weeks, between his Twitter feud with Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose, his defense of Bill Cosby, and his presentation of his new album T.L.O.P (The Life of Pablo) at Madison Square Garden, during which he unveiled his song “Famous “which includes the lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. / Why? I made that bitch famous.” That was understandably received with mixed reactions.

After Swift’s spokesperson released a statement asserting that Kanye not only didn’t ask Swift’s approval for the Famous lyrics, but went so far as to request Swift share the song on her Twitter, more celebrities, friends of Swift swooped in to share their two bits, Ruby Rose being one of them.

Ruby Rose’s tweets seem to be more of an indictment against Kanye’s overall recent behavior than a specific response to the Swift lyrics, although she does plainly declare her friendship to Swift trumps her ability to support or hold allegiance to Kanye. Which, likely doesn’t surprise anyone, have Ruby Rose and Kanye ever held a friendship of any sort?

As much as I technically agree with Ruby Rose’s points regarding Cosby and Kanye’s slut shaming, I feel a bit turned off by the constant need for fellow white women to discipline Kanye’s misogyny while largely ignoring so many equally misogynistic white counterparts.

Either way, I’m doubt he’s crying from the withdrawal of another supporter.
