Art School Student Lists Van Gogh’s Bedroom On Air BnB

A student at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago went full Method with their re-imagining of Van Gogh’s bedroom when they painted and transformed their apartment into an exact copy of Van Gogh’s bedroom and listed it on AirBnB.

Priced at only $10 a night, the space is gorgeously done up with immense attention to even the details of Van Gogh’s nightstand.

The listing clarifies that the $10 charge is only so the student can buy more paint (which seems an unnecessary qualifier given how cheap a price that is), and they even offer to give renters free tickets to their exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago.

As someone who went that same art school, and is now dealing with the delightful encircling vultures of student loans, sucking up my blood and picking my bones clean — I’d encourage the renter to charge exorbitant amounts for this beautiful room. $1000 a night? $200? You’re essentially letting people sleep inside a huge painting, so get that huge painting cash!

If you’re in the Chicago area and looking to engulf yourself in the beautiful nightmare of Van Gogh’s life, check the full listing here.
