Watch Beyoncé & Bruno Mars Dominate The Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show
Last night in Superb Owl City, the Carolina Panthers lost to Peyton “I Should Retire Soon” Manning and the Denver Broncos. The game, overall, was boring. The commercials, less than inspired. By the second quarter, all the food was gone, the wing-stupor was setting in, and all there was to do was to wait for Beyoncé.
On the heels of her surprise single, “Formation,” Beyoncé’ Super Bowl halftime performance knocked the stuffing out of Coldplay’s floppy, nu-“Kumbaya” performance. Any memory of Chris Martin trying his hardest was erased the minute Beyoncé and her dancers — dressed as Black Panthers — marched onto that turf. After standing near the end zone and delivering a fired-up performance of her newest single, Bey joined America’s favorite Polly Pocket, Bruno Mars, for a dance-off that I wished had lasted the duration of the halftime show, but alas.
