Toronto Women’s Boxing Club Plans To Crash Pro-Rape Rallies

The pro-rape MRA group Return of the Kings (spare yourself an atrocious visit to the website), spear-headed by blogger Daryrush Valizedeh, has a worldwide meetup incorporating 43 different countries planned for this Saturday, and luckily, everyone with a pulse or any sense of conscience is lashing back.

Earlier in the year, the monstrous leader also known by the pseudonym “Roosh V” opined a column stating that rape should be legalized on private property in order to teach women a lesson. Now he’s sent out the bat signal to his fellow violent misogynists, urging them to attend park meet-ups where they can “forge IRL friendships” this weekend.

Luckily, people all over are banding together making plans to disrupt these rallies, and while Roosh has explicitly threatened the livelihood of any women who crash these events, women’s boxing club The Toronto Newsgirls is fearless and fully equipped to disrupt the sexist fuckery this weekend.

The club has asserted that they will not hesitate to beat the living hell out of the men encountered, and while I don’t normally condone violence, this feels too poetic to not embrace.

A spokesperson for the club said:

“Pictures will show up online of women wearing boxing gloves, and blah, blah, blah; the photos of us will show women that being powerful is an option. And I think that’s what needs to happen against this douchebag.”

I have no words, besides: Amen.
